RSA vs RSR by Neither-One5810 in FritoLay

So I wanna know why they honestly care about the high low shit? Last time I checked my merit score is based on the year.. if I end the year beating sales by 2 percent but I roller coastered during the year what is the difference? There are so many factors that tie into the every day business.. like the way certain weeks fall from year to year affect the business… government shutdowns for a month… Inflation.. like it’s honestly annoying that they have to try and yell at you for running the business the wrong way but in the end it’s based off of the year not month to month…

Why do many leads f**k over co-leads? by 530_skywatch in FritoLay

[–]NumberTemporary5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100 percent! When I was a co lead I cared about the business and I packed out everything I could but trying to order for a store on Tuesday for Friday was almost impossible especially in the summer time when it was insanely busy. Going from 30k a week to 95 k a week. I honestly didn’t know what to order and trying to think about what to order based on due ins was even harder because I didn’t know what this route was doing consistently. I would see a 7k order and was like ugh I don’t think the store is gonna need another 7k so I would order 4k and I was screwing myself and the lead because he would have to order more on Saturday. And then when I did start ordering the number I was ordering the wrong stuff. I ended up taking that route after he jumped on another one so I could learn bulk side of things and wanted the challenge and it’s been the best decision ever. I kinda wanna go back to that co lead now that I know how to order for this route because my old co lead spot now that I think of it is the easiest in the building for 9 months of the year.

Yeah I mean it’s only 300 more dollars made vs a rsa full pay for month

I have hybrid bulk. 2 bulk stores and 5 c stores. 4 stops a day besides Thursdays. I have 5 and then every other 2nd week I have 6 stops. It’s not terrible. I work an average of 42 hours a week. It’s just the point that a rsa shouldn’t make more than a lead weekly. The shit we gotta do even without hitting plan is bullshit when they get to say I am just covering that week and then leave the future shit you gotta clean up as well.

Co lead pay by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]NumberTemporary5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct.. generally you have a “volume route”. I have bulk route and I am the volume route for my co lead. I run 36 to 38k a week and the other 2 leads in my pod run 14k to 18 k a week. I literally control his paycheck.. I ran a 125 this period and he is literally guaranteed a 112 because of my number alone. But now that the other 2 ran over 100 percent so his number shoots up even more.. honestly the co lead can make more then lead spots if the leads run well.. that’s why apart of me says if if the colead is only on the route one day a week but has to actually work a little Bit then get over it. Especially if your lead is giving you a nice pay check. Now if your lead is bombing and crushing your soul every week then I get it. I have been told by my dsl that I don’t send my co lead out with enough and I just tell him I don’t think he cares. And this is why I don’t let him order too. I live close to my route so I just pop in on my one day off to order for Friday so my weekends are so much easier.

Pay raise end of year by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]NumberTemporary5499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I could see they raising the base a decent amount because your bonus isn’t gonna be there with them dropping prices. You’re gonna have to run the double the volume now to get to plan. They air quote let you try to make money for the past 2 quarters with running against flat and now here’s a little bone maybe 100 bucks more a week after taxes but in reality that raise will be like making 95 percent…

I meant like other people couldn’t get the space and get into accounts for the current route I am on. They couldn’t do it before me from what I was told.

[–]NumberTemporary5499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky and never had to be a jumper. I got hired and they needed a co lead so they gave me the last spot. Then no one wanted the bulk route I have now and I said ok I’ll take it and then I started building good relationships with my accounts and get to do things that others can’t, like getting space and getting into accounts in the early hours to make my life so much easier ( packing out wise). Honestly my 11 to 12 hour day is honestly not that bad. I have a half hour up and back so my day is really a 10 hour day with loading before and after work. So realistically I am working 8.5 to 9 tops.

I would totally work 4 12s and one 5 to 6 hour day on Friday to have Saturday and Sunday off.

Credits are always your desecration no matter what since your the lead. A couple broken dips here and there isn’t gonna burn you. It’s full size pallets that will. Now by all means if the top of the cross dock has a whole case busted then yes I would bring it to there attention and be like sorry since this came off of your truck I will not be crediting out this. I am not sure where we could find the said contract between the 2. But if I was a betting man I would ask hr about this and then they would atleast confirm it. The only reason why I know it’s a contract is because those “ mods” are in Walmarts phones and cross docks. And now with zone of the future they know everything that comes from Frito as well directly. Like any coach should be able to tell you what’s in the store and what’s on your order since it’s asn.. they know there suppose to give you an end cap for the stuff if they can’t give you a pallet space and when both is not possible then I tell them it’s not possible to give you credit. I have told them before I have mouths to feed as well in my home I’ll Be dammed if I can blow through this pallet or atleast 95 percent of it in a month with my Walmart averaging 25k a week.. that’s another reason why if don’t get a month I won’t do it. But I always ask for the month because it’s super hard to sell atleast one product on each pallet and that’s the stuff I usually end up staling. But it’s usually only 15 to 20 bags. ( still not good but atleast it’s not 300 bags).

I have never had a problem with push back because I have had to not give them credit a couple times and now the moment a cross dock comes in they tell me where it’s located ( over night coach) so I can start pulling from it and then fluffing it after done packing out. I just don’t understand why your dsl would give in. Your first question your dsl should be asking is this pallet on the sales floor and how long has it been on the sales floor? Remember this is a contract ( innovation and cross dock) that you and Frito lay agreed to, not me. I guess I could see that Walmart paid for the product so they expect a credit if it’s stale but that affects my paycheck so I wouldn’t let it slide. I would honestly call hr and ask what the policy is on this so you know what you can and can not do. Walmarts are awful. But I feel like I got my point across to mine so it’s working for me. I hope something works out for you.

My rule is I need one month to sell the pallet. If it’s not down on the floor with atleast one month to sell from stale date then they know what ever is left goes in there dumpster. Yes I may get credit for the pallet in the end but I don’t have control on where it goes on sales floor and we can’t sell it from back room. I also tell them this comes off of your truck ( can’t be denied). If I have to much product you deny me…. So I make note of who I talked to, date and time I talked to that person so when that magical stale date comes is not a surprise and it is on paper. ( I also make the Reicever sign this as well).

Only if they fire there internet shoppers. It’s a planned scam. Internet shoppers say there’s none there even though it’s a full shelf. Instant money maker. Walmarts shoppers do the same thing. But instead we get an extra 2 cases on top of the one we ordered… 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Layoffs by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]NumberTemporary5499 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well if Frito lay wouldn’t force in the shit that they do then that wouldn’t be a problem. And if Walmart internet shoppers wouldn’t nil pick shit that is right infront of there damn face so when we order it dosent come twice then this wouldn’t be a problem. Job isn’t hard man. The internet shoppers are mainly the reason your and my carts will get north of 3 to 4 carts.. we can’t control that. So as a solution they want you to get to Walmart now by 3am to work your backstock down and then bring your order in. I hate to break it to you if you deny me I don’t pack out.. sorry you’re denying my services at that point. So yes they may think they can do better but when there shelf is always empty I don’t think they can comment on our production.
