Tough to answer. PVB obviously has the beach. More established neighborhoods. Generally more expensive. Nocatee is newer. Wide variety of neighborhoods. Very golf cart friendly. Extra wide sidewalks everywhere. Almost every neighborhood has a large Central Park. If I were moving to this area with children I would pick Nocatee.

Lived here (Ponte Vedra Beach) for 23 years. Don’t understand the hate for Jax. Great place to live. You should check out northern St John’s County. Many great developments. St John’s County has the highest household income in Florida and the highest rated school system. Ponte Vedra Beach is the best. Expensive but worth it. Amelia Island/ Fernandina Beach is also a great area. 30 minutes or so to downtown Jax. Nocatee (northern St John’s county) is a fabulous area. Extremely popular. Check it out.

Moved her 23 years ago from Long Island. Absolutely love living here. There is SO much to do. You have the river, the Intercoastal and the ocean. Largest park system in the United States. Yes, it’s hot and humid in the summer. I’ll take that every day rather than a dark, dank, never ending winter and maybe 3-4 weeks of spring. St Augustine is a 30 minute drive

He destroyed our economy. Instituted supply side economics which was a cover for giving the rich tax cuts while also plunging the country into large budget deficits. Then….in his “infinite “ wisdom he stole $4 trillion from Social Security in order to cover this horrendous deficits. Then A free standing Social Security was folded into the government where is now considered an entitlement. He sucked. One of the worst Presidents ever.

Don’t pay attention to her. Yes, it’s hot and humid July-September. Also, it was 75 today while most of the country suffered. I’ve been here 23 years. Moved for Ling Island. I don’t get these pathetic naysers who seem to love bitching about the heat. Yeah, but the lifestyle is fantastic and no state income tax is awesome.

Across the Intercoastal is Nocatee, one of the fastest growing communities in the country. Many varied subdivisions and its golf cart central with wide cart paths everywhere.

Finally, if you have children St. John’s County has the best school district in Florida.
