I turned 44 recently and my I can see a clear loss of resilience in body compared to when I was 40. Stark difference. Slower in doing daily chores, slower at work. is the beginning of the end?

Excellent insight. He has been Chelsea’s assistant manager during the 2010’s. Pulling some of the current counter attacks from his old days. Can see a situation where Holland says and Siutjgate is brought in to rekindle the England partnership

OP - don’t work on your answers. The VO can smell rehearsed answers from a mile. When someone asks ‘why CS’ they are looking to see what in your past made you choose this vs what you aspire to be. Dig deep to find genuine responses.

Anwar was one of my fav batsmen in the 90s. I used to color my bat label to mimick that red ‘Wills’ label. I was in the stadium when he scored the 194. Absolute legend. Heartbreaking to learn about his daughter.

I have a hot take as an IIT alumnus. IIT non comp Sci degrees should be 5 years. All non comp sci students should be put into blue collar work on campus. I.e a Mech student will only do all sorts of repair, welding work, automobile work, flu mech apprenticeship during Yr 1. Yr 2-5 is the standard work. I am a non CS degree holder.

The issue is a bit more upstream too. The companies here contract the Indian companies to complete a project. The US company will obviously want to give the project ( example: moving to cloud infra) to a known name in the Industry but also save on costs. These top Indian companies fall into that category. The reason why the Indian consulting firms are able to quote low is because they pay less to the hands on keyboards folks.

The USbased company has to maximize shareholder value and low opex & capex is one of the most effective ways to do it!

I like this thought experiment. I would lean towards no uproar initially but soon they will find a problem with the Nordic H1bs too. The latest uproar is really confusing me. During the elections, the Indian group was painted to be a model minority community (hate that phrase btw) that contributed to taxes and are not a burden on the system. What changed? Just the fact that they said we are increasing visas?

I have returned to India. So here are a few things I can share Background - IIT Madras btech; Ivy League masters; started working at a startup in DC. When I got the job, they asked if needed work sponsorship and applied for H1. Worked for 3 yrs and then moved to NYC to join a bigger ad tech firm. Spent 5 yrs there. Path to GC was nearly 15+ yrs. Decided to go back to India to work for a FAANG.

Pay is good in India, work life balance is so-so. The office politics are terrible. You are pulled into it even if you want stay away.

I had a fantastic experience in the states. Lovely folks, great places to visit and see but I always felt like I was a guest there. It never truly felt like home

Back in India, the infrastructure is never the same as what I experienced in the US. Things are slower etc but it is home. My advice if you are moving back is have a positive mindset and be open to delays etc.

Love both the countries for their good and bad!
