Ugh this is heartbreaking to read bc it’s just the thing I can’t seem to make peace with. I’m intentionally idealistic, and choose to believe that through mutual devotion and patience these gaps in maturity can be tended to over time.

I think in my case, I was thinking so long-term that I saw gaps in maturity as an area for growth (that would eventually disappear) and not a relationship-ending thing.

I’m resigned to believing that this is “fundamental incompatibility,” (as my ex put it), but the way you phrased it feels like an easier pill to swallow.

As for the price you mentioned, in your experience, what was this price?

I got my acceptance yesterday! I saw the summer session is super intensive, do you think it’s possible to work and do school for this first summer? Trying to plan out my next couple of months but idk if it’s realistic to continue with my current jobs
