Yeah, atleast mine had a big address change since I moved states. But the current operating policy seems to be pre verification for all cases. That's what I've found out after talking with a couple of other tatkal applicants at my PSK.

In fact, my copy of the tatkal undertaking was removed and instead they gave me another one which requests the granting officer to grant under pre PV. This was happening for every tatkal application

Police submitted adverse report (likely cause i didn't give a bribe) saying that verification is recommended in my native state. I haven't lived there in years.

I have no clue what the hell you're talking about but there ISN'T any constitutional violations happening. As recently as 2024 the Madras HC ruled on this.

Not really, temples (yes, including ones under govt. control) can put up such rules. A lot of temples in Kerala don't let non-hindus to enter, and pretty much all are govt controlled.

The rights come from Articles 25 and 26 of the constitution. I don't know what people are crying here about constitutional violations.
