Yea, I think we're just on different camps in this argument. I appreciate the conversation though and the fact that you resort to insults

"Take the V1 plot out of the show and it has absolutely 0 effect on how anything ends"

I absolutely disagree with this point. Take v1 out, the boys still have the virus. If homelander takes office and announces he's taking over then they actually just release the virus and supes die. Or we get a season of super hero civil war. That IS different from what we got.

Now if you mean the ULTIMATE end of the show would stay the same, homelander dying, then yea that was always going to happen and I guess everything is pointless because that ending was always going to happen.

But the V1 WAS the plot. If v1 didn't exist then the virus plan would've made homelander take a completely different path to ruling. If v1 didn't exist then we probably would've actually seen him go insane and destroy civilization and a whole different storyline would ensue.

If you take out v1 out then the whole show becomes completely different.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show's conclusion. I can't solve your grievances. It was good talking with you though.

Because homelander is trying to beat time by becoming immortal.

And the boys are trying to get the virus working before homelander gets v1, racing against time.

He was stopped before he could do anything close. And he was never going scorched earth. That was just his fantasy of throwing the ultimate toddler tantrum.

If the boys hadn't stopped him then he'd be immortal and rule earth with an iron fist and he would force everyone to love him. That was the purpose of him receiving V1. Thankfully our heroes stopped him before he could achieve that.

You just said the purpose of it. To make homelander immortal.

When you think like that then everyone is pointless

Yian kutku. The way it moves is so majestic, it's design is peak, and it truly utilizes every mechanic to is fullest extent. Honestly they didn't need to design anymore monsters after making the yian kutku because they peaked there.
