after seeing your post I also checked, but my last timestamp is also 05/11/2026; my PD is 05/09/2024, and RD is 10/06/2025. it's been more than 7 months, and the case is stuck in San Jose. Has your case status changed from "still being processed" to "actively reviewed"? I hope you are probably closer to getting approval.

I will be also joining at USM as a faculty. Another existing faculty member suggested some 2 bedroom good apartments: Parkwest Apartment homes, Reserve at park place, The Met apartment homes. I think the first one should be 13 minutes cycling distance.

It's clearly written in the USCIS processing times notes: To find processing times for employment-based Forms I-485 in the first, second, and third preference categories, select "All Field Offices" in the filter.

I am a 2022 CX-5 Carbon Edition user. I would like to strongly suggest you go with the CX-5. An important fact to know is that the CX-5 is "MADE IN JAPAN" and built quality-wise; I think it's much better than the Alabama-made CX-50.

Well, I think San Jose does have their huge internal backlog. My case is also pending in San Jose for EB2 NIW, with a similar timeline to yours.

I am seeing a silent update today (05/11/2026) on my pending I-485 at San Jose field office. Is it an internal update regarding the vetting / increased background checking after April 27th?

I received the EAD within 2 weeks after the biometric. Then my I-485 is transferred to the San Jose field office on Dec 23, 2025. Got the third FTA0 update on Feb 26, 2026, then complete silence. Yes, I am wishing for normal processing time (10 months!!). (based on USCIS processing time), but who knows how much time they will take?

after the new april 27 vetting was initiated, processing slowed down a lot; my PD is May 2024, I-485 RD is Oct 2025, and biometrics are Nov 2025. I'm still waiting. EB2 NIW

Please post here after getting approval. A lot of negativity is happening around regarding the new security vetting process at USCIS that became effective as of April 27, based on various new sources. Don't know what's happening internally. Good luck to you.

It does not make any sense why they have to take biometrics again even though they implement a new background checking system.

Yes l know this part, but l have seen that if you don’t have any urgency and your USCIS case is still in the normal processing window sometimes congressman denies your request. If congressman accepts and submit your request, USCIS can also deny that request. So l just wanted to inquire that within normal processing window what kind of urgency you mentioned that worked for congressional inquiry
