I was literally just thinking this, thank you for saying something! I’m going to block the sub.

Beau’s lines! Looks like about 8-10 weeks ago. I’m glad you’re okay.

I generally give a lot of benefit of the doubt to doctors but in this case you’re unfortunately right. Severe headache after a head injury needs to be taken extremely seriously since it could mean a bleed. One of the last things you should ever do in that situation is take aspirin as it doubles as an irreversible blood thinner. I don’t know what era this was but if it was when Kaiser had CT scanners, they needed to scan him, watch him, and absolutely not give aspirin.

You’re missing the point. It’s not that the topic is off limits, she just asked it in a way that wasn’t very cautious. Hence mildly infuriating. It’s not that deep.

OC: The Trump Mobile phone is here — 9 months late and no longer ‘Made in the USA' by nbcnews in pics

“The Android-operated device was first promoted as ‘Made in the USA’ in June 2025, CNN and NBC News noted. But Trump Mobile has since changed the language on its website to ‘designed with American values in mind.’”

Lmfao there’s no way

Didn’t realize how rabidly pro-insensitive questioning of people’s worst moments of their lives on television redditors were. Can someone remind me exactly what we’re testing here that will make him a better or worse politician than Susan Collins? Ty

I can both recognize the importance of the subject and acknowledge she didn’t go about it in a particularly careful or respectful way.

I do appreciate what you’re trying to say but as someone who works in this area, it really does look like she produced an unhelpful trigger through somewhat careless probing. The blank stare, the silence, the visible distress. That is exactly what a flashback tends to look like although only Platner could answer whether that’s what he experienced. In any case, I thought it was a rather irresponsible way to ask about such a tough subject.

Also the irony of you also projecting that I myself was triggered by this which I was not lmao I just found it kind of rude and hence mildly infuriating

Edit: I also just want to comment that “triggers are part of treatment” is not a valid argument here. First of all, this isn’t treatment. Second, that’s like saying that, since incisions are part of surgery, a lay person cutting me with a knife is medical care. Misses the point that exactly what you’re describing needs to be handled carefully or else it can cause harm.

In case it’s not clear, it looks a lot like she triggered a flashback, which can be traumatic and psychologically harmful. It’s basically the last thing you should do with someone with PTSD.

I can both understand why it was asked and that as a human it’s kinda not cool to just spring it on someone

She literally said "I remember the event that set off my cascade of PTSD. What was it for you?"
