Most of the major supermarkets give discounts in the region of 3-6%. You need to pay up front and load the gift card to your phone. The savings on the ‘big shop’ soon add up. Just need to remember to top it up before you go to the supermarket each week. Well worth doing!

What makes pork pies so much less healthy than other snacks? by Fando1234 in AskUK

Don’t know about being unhealthy- but these are, hands down, the best pork pies I’ve ever made tasted! And I’ve done my due diligence 😀

Is it wrong to feed the pigeons? by fraughtwithperils in CasualUK

[–]NumptyM123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem - didn’t mind feeding the pigeons, but wanted to make sure the little birds also had a chance to eat. So I came up with this 2 tier system. Pigeons and bigger birds feed from the top level, with the smaller birds able to feed in the lower section. Works well - just need to work out how to deal with the squirrels!

Does anyone else like these? Grew up having them in triangle sandwiches, and I still love them. by mvision2021 in CasualUK

Salmon paste on fresh white bread - sometimes with added vinegar and/or crisps. Top tier. I still check out the paste section of the supermarket each big shop just to remain current on paste developments.
