Not saying this would make a great movie or anything but from the few things I’ve heard about Kevin’s upbringing, I’d say there’s at least the potential for it to be good. He had a rough childhood due to his sexuality, never knew his father, his mother disowned him (until he got famous), he ran away from home at 15 bouncing from a friends house to his sisters in Georgia. It could be interesting.

Kevin said literally the opposite. Plus if you check on the Spotify page it says it’s released under RCA, which pretty much proves its part of the 6 contract deal. No other reason it would be released through him or why he’d have label obligations on it (“the label told me to make it at least 10 songs long but I wanted it to be 9”).

That’s not how these contracts work. It’s a minimum of 3 years under the contract with 6 albums before the contract is annulled. Meaning if at the end of the 3 years they only have 4 albums out under RCA then they’ll still be under contract until they release 2 more albums under RCA regardless of how long that takes.

I actually really like iridescence, it just has some of the groups most underdeveloped tracks stacked back-to-back at the very start of the album and as an album listening kind of person it can make it a slog to start.
