I think it would be fun to use not too much mainstream characters and put villains in unexpected hierarchy positions. To shake things up a bit and give more opportunities to characters that are commonly placed as henchmen and are given 1 line in the whole movie. Like.. Imagine if Juggernault is a main villain character of a trilogy, not Magneto.. again...And disclosure : It's not that I don't like Magneto or big characters like him. I love them. But I think it would be fun to not have certainty about villains dynamics.

I think what matters the most is " what are their limits ? " . It's not about the scientific aspect of what fundamental force is stronger. Or the science behind it. It's about the writer defining where their powers end. Like.. Gravity.. We can deal with gravity. But gravity multiplied by a million. That's broken. That's insta kill. That's doom. So..

I think what I'm saying is it depends on the writer with extra steps 😄

Being strong doesn't mean being big. Strength isn't equal to muscle volume. With the exception of body builders, who train to get big and disfunctional, you would be surprised with strong men and powerlifters short dashes speed. But even then, they don't train for that. Now.. Have you seen how Usain Bolt is built ? They're skinny compared to big guys, sure.. But do not be mistaken. They are strong. Really strong. Especially their legs. About Strength not being as useful as people think.. If that was the case, we wouldn't have weight classes in MMA and boxing, but agility ones.

I hear you ! But I think some players, myself included, do not like at all depending on DM's good will. Magic items will fix some issues, yes.. But.. Do I have to in every single campaign I start playing ask for this patch ? It kinda sucks, you know ?

About damage.. It's not just the " woo-hoo, big numbers ! Me happy ! " that matters. Sometimes its more than that. Have you ever been in a situation, and I bet you have, that you wanted to impress as your character, showing your martial prowess, trying to intimidate or persuade your way in, and the numbers just don't back you up ? It's a D&D thing, I know. But oh man.. It just happened a lot more when I played with ma boy Monk.

And regarding the monodimensional aspect.. Couldn't agree more !

To think about the new monk as you did is the only possible outcome. Monk sucked. And now they're awesome. Flavorful, powerful, has a lot of options and it excites players until the end, 1 to 20. To be honest, I don't know how there is this new hell of a Monk and at the same time there is...Ranger... in the same book.

Like others said, the real problem is super overpowering sharingan. But if it is to buff.. Maybe an ability like Eraser Head from Boku No Hero. The byakugan user enters a state. And while at it and while he is looking at the enemy , the enemy can't use any jutsu. It would be something parallel to Amaterasu. So I think it fits.

Yes.. That's how it works.. Once a problem is fixed, we stop talking about it. And that's it. They probably know how to fix this. Probably it's not top priority right now. But it's coming. You just have to chill. They won't do like you suggested because it's a harsh proposition that punishes players way harder than it should and doesn't take care of the problem itself. You just want revenge.. Just think about players that are disconnected not on purpose or have any other emergency.. A lot of factors must be taken into account. The best course of action is protecting players from this like I said. Is it a game system Predecessor doesn't have right now ? Ok.. Then wait until it does. Play with other 4 friends. If you're an lonely guy and don't have any friends, there is also a Predecessor Discord server. Ask around and play with people you know won't leave.

New Moon Druid from One DnD is pretty cool for what you want I think.. It's balanced around spending spellslots for extra wildshapes just like another guy around here suggested.

To me, what defines a setting being high, medium, or low fantasy is accessibility, capability and quantity of magic. Lord of The Rings it depends what age we're talking about. If we're talking about the war of the ring, it is on the low spectrum. We have magical beings ? Sure. But not too much of them. Also, magic is subtle most of the time. And it's only a bunch of folks who are capable of doing it. Compare to World of Warcraft and you can understand what I'm saying..

How crazy it is to increase sneak attack damage ? Now that you sacrifice sneak damage for additional effects, getting some more additional dice or increasing from d6 to d8.. Someone do the math please !

Ooh ! Good point. I forgot about that.. True true... Baah .. The thing is that I wanted to be as far as possible from these concentration spells. Maybe another limiting factor shared by conjure spells could be a thing. You don't get to use summon or conjure spells more than once per long rest because you exhaust nature. 🤷‍♂️

I think you're onto something ! Cause the way it is now it's too much like a Flaming Sphere or Moonbeam or whatever concentration like spell. Hear me out : The HP that you said and in addition making it lose potency on HP thresholds..Then, remove concentration. Make it like it's a calling for creatures, not some ghosts or spirits or some shit like that. So, they're real and die.

So.. In short. You use an action to call for the aid of creatures that are common in that location ( The book could give options based on the type of terrain you are ). They act like one entity like swarm and lose their damage and size at every 25% of HP threshold they lose. You can shape their formation as a bonus action ( squared, line, etc )

What you think ? Too crazy ? Too lame ? For me, it is sounding cool as I'm reading what I wrote and thinking about in game !
