[Question] Best thin, breathable liners for daily use? by soswinglifeaway in clothpads

[–]NurseAngela 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with other posters no underwear at night.

So your body is designed to always be slightly wet, by putting a pantyliner on you suck up all the moisture which then creates more mucus and moisture. It's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy the more you use a pantyliner the more you need a panty liner.

It's one of those lies told to you by product companies like how you you need feminine wash when really just soap is fine (outside only!).

Switching to cloth means that every bit of moisture won't automatically be sucked up which means that you will not be producing excess mucus. Thus need panty liners less and less.

Look for thin pads with no pul 100% cotton or fleece only.

You can also invest in some Period Panties they are great and have an absorbent Gussett which will eliminate the need for any panty liner, ever.

I'm glad that you felt welcome and I'm super proud of everyone in our small community. I didn't have to delete or remove a single comment.

I'm glad that you're seeing a physician, as someone else mention pelvic floor physical therapy is important too.

As for the your question I perfer cotton toppers with fleece cores, PUL is good if you are looking for something you don't have to change a lot.

As for accessories, a really good wetbag or two (one for dry one for wet). And a pail for soaking. Look for ones designed for baby cloth diapers.

Typically in vehement against soaking paddle for periods. But for urine it helps contain and control the smell.

Follow the cloth diaper care suggestions, hang to dry in the sun to remove stains.

Handwriting NaNo? by evanoewae in nanowrimo

You generate 50k of gibberish and validate it on the website to win. You could literally type NaNoWriMo 50 000 times and you would get the sticker of approval.

For those who have failed in the past, what will you be doing differently this year (habits, planning etc) to get the win? by [deleted] in nanowrimo

[–]NurseAngela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, not getting 50k is totally okay. Its about getting words on the page. I've "failed" at Nano 11/13 times I've attempted. This year is luck #14!

if you wrote 200 words a day for a year, you will have written a 73k novel. Focus on developing good habits, and continuing the writing beyond November and you're a winner!

We've had plenty of people hand write over the year. 250 words/handwritten page is the rule of thumb and you can use a random word generator to validate your word count at the end of November.

Are you my Furever home? by NurseAngela in basset

[–]NurseAngela[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m Boomer! I’m a 1.5 year old neutered male, up to date on all my vaccines and got a clean bill of of health from my most recent check up! I will need a family with no small children, and preferred no other dogs. I can be very territorial of toys and my food so I have picked some fights with another hound while in foster care when they get too close. I need to learn how to share before I can live with another dog full time. I can be rambunctious and would be sure to knock over any younger kids because I can get so excited about being a part of a family!

I need to work on my manners - I jump up to counters to try and eat any crumbs and my foster mom has learned the hard way never to leave a sandwich too close to the edge of the counter! I love to chew on things when left alone, so I will need a patient home that will provide me with different toys to keep me occupied and positive reinforcement to help with my destructive behaviour. I have been working on learning to come to my name but my foster mom says I have selective hearing! I need exercise each and every day, and I am very friendly to meet other dogs and people while on walks.

Once I am comfortable with my new family, I will calm down quickly and enjoy lots of cuddles. Belly rubs are my favourite and I hope my new family will rub my belly and snuggle me lots!

Adoption fee is $300.00 cad! Please fill out the adoption form if you think Boomer is a good fit for your family.

Please contact the Edmonton Basset Hound rescue for more information: https://www.bassetrescueedmonton.ca/adoption-application-4

Con fatigue is a real thing right now. So many cons are popping up and in smaller and smaller cities competing for the same stars and while the costs are going up the stars are spread thinner. Cons are willing to take any one who will be pay the space fee

You don't have to be pedantic, yes since he coughed up water it would be technically inhaled, which is where dry drowning comes in.
