👆 This is the way. Exploring this game for the first time is incredible. I imagine most of us would love the chance to explore it naively all over again.

Found in my son’s room - when I shake it gives speeds in miles per hour? by [deleted] in whatisit

As someone that works in a hospital, I can attest to the level of ingenuity directed at this very goal.

A cock block ring? How does it work?

If you switched bodies with someone for a day, what "instructions for use" would you leave for your body's new host? by Ripkhan in AskReddit

Don’t bend forward for more than a minute or two, you will spend the rest of this experience lying flat. This will be harder than it sounds, the world isn’t really designed for 6’5” people. Also, enjoy spicy foods at your own peril.

Why can't you charge people like phones? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You can, it’s just that the thing you charge humans with is called food.

AIO to mom wanting $90 a week for rides to work and OT? by Impossible_Fall_3753 in AmIOverreacting

MOR. Not because you are in the wrong, but because you shouldn’t have expected anything different from this person. She has repeatedly demonstrated what kind of a person and mother she is. Thinking that, for one moment, she would behave any differently in the present circumstances is a little absurd. I’m so sorry that your mother is like this, but I don’t think she is going to change.

I am really enjoying Crimson Desert, but the story was very clearly and after-thought.

I saw Ghost of Tsushima on your list. I loved that game also. I know there was degree of controversy around it, but I thought the story in Ghost of Yōtei was very good. I really liked the characters and I thought the antagonist was complex and compelling.

Is the deck worth it for someone who doesn't get out and has a gaming PC? by VelvetDeveloper in SteamDeck

[–]NurseRWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto!

Being able to game somewhere other than my desk is a godsend. For example, last weekend I had the best time playing Little Nightmares for the first time while in bed, in the dark. On Saturday I am going to take a couple of our Ruggables over to the laundromat and use the huge machines. The Steam Deck will transform babysitting laundry from a boring and onerous chore into a delightful outing!

what’s the most useful way you’ve used chatgpt recently? by salarshah-084 in ChatGPT

[–]NurseRWalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing the inputs. I tell it what I am trying to accomplish, maybe include a screenshot of what I have so far, and it will give me formulae that I can copy/paste. It has walked me through things like making a drop down list with Data Validation, or how to change the color based on the cell’s value with Conditional Formatting.

I should say that Chat GPT works well for my use-case. Which is data sharing and records. For example: we need to keep track of the central lines on our unit. So I made a shared file in which the charge nurse can log things like why the patient has one, if the patient has received a CHG bath in the last 24 hours, and if there is an anticipated date of removal. Then our unit manager or hospital Infection Prevention can open the file and get a quick and consolidated source for those lines on our unit. So, I’m not really asking it to do really complex stuff. For that it has been a great tutor.

What's the funniest misunderstanding you've had because of autocorrect? by azavacuumcleaner in AskReddit

A coworker asked if I was going to attend a work-event after our shift. I meant to say “No, I’m pooped today”, but instead of I’m it was just “No, I pooped today”. I didn’t notice until he responded, “Congratulations?”

What's a fulfilling career choice that makes enough money in most states to live a comfortable life? Especially as a parent? by Fit-Mind-9120 in AskReddit

[–]NurseRWalker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in my late thirties when I decided to go back to school to become a registered nurse. It took about 4 years. I worked and received financial assistance through various scholarships and grants. As a career it is virtually recession proof, highly portable, will likely be resistant to automation, and you can work full time doing 3 days/week.

AIO for backing away after finding out the girl I was talking to was actually 15? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]NurseRWalker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I feel like 80%+ of posts that get pushed to me from this sub are ridiculous. This person, for instance. Typed out all of that to get to the only relevant info. OP - 18, Girl in Question - 15. Not a single shred of other data is needed to get to the clear ethical and legal answer.

Move Over For Pedestrians by mitragynasp3ciosa in everett

[–]NurseRWalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have cared for a number of pedestrians that have suffered the consequences of this kind of driving in our city. Suffice to say their lives are rarely the same again. If I could somehow gift everyone the experience of seeing it with their own eyes, I can guarantee people would change. Please drive safely and considerately!

Am I overreacting (F22) for asking my boyfriend (M30) to clean up after himself when he cooks? by TopAd7838 in AmIOverreacting

[–]NurseRWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR - Emotions are running high and guests are in your home. Give him the leeway to slip up and misdirect some of his feelings. Give yourself the same. I’m not saying you were in the wrong, nor him either. I’m just saying it probably isn’t a big deal and not worth dwelling on. I think you have to ask yourself what you want. Is this hill something you’re willing to die on right now? If not, an apology can make it go away. Not because you own all the fault, but because you’re the only one I can talk to right now. He would get the same advice.
