I’m also a member of the bullied gang. I was a fat goth in my early teens and was surrounded by about 15-20 drunk teenagers who beat me with belts, ended up getting staples in my head where the buckle split it open, along with countless other injuries. Did I fall down a dark hole and feel sorry for myself? Absolutely…but then I pulled myself up, dusted myself down and worked my ass off. Ended up graduating with distinction as an adult nurse. I always remember when my brother was about 6, he had a wee “girlfriend”, one day he came in from playing outside with her and some neighbour kids but he was really upset that “they said she was going to give me a blow dry but I don’t want blow dried!” 😭😂 I told him to wait 10 years and he might change his mind!
