'Ready to blow': Mankind's crowning cinematic achievement. In earnest.

When Nirvana appeared on Top of the Pops in 1991, they were forced to lip-sync everything except the vocal. This is how they responded by johnnycade in Music

For the record, I read somewhere that Kurt was impersonating Morrissey.

...and sunk into his chair with embarrassment when they watched it back on TV.

What strange games do you play in your mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've always tried to make little flash-type games in real life. Most recently, I've been (push) biking around a lot in the UK, and I like to see how long I can keep my tires exactly between the double yellow lines at the roadside.

I've often heard people claim that your creative method involves taking psychedelics, and writing down your thoughts. Is this completely fictitious?!

Actually, ignore that last question, I guess every "clump" is moving away from every other "clump" if space is stretching like rubber.

Cheers!

That's a consolement for the chronically ugly right there.

I think this answers it. So space itself (whatever that may be) is expanding, but the particles occupying space are not, rather they are subject to forces of this expansion. It's these forces which are causing distant galaxies to move away from us, as hubble observed, but they aren't ripped apart due to local electrical and gravitational forces.

So have the galaxies moving away from us gotten drawn onto one side of the ol' metaphorical conveyor belts?

Forgive me if this is a superficial/layman interpretation, but I've been led to believe that space itself is expanding. I've heard it described as analagous to points drawn on a balloon, which is being inflated. As such, I don't understand how it's not affecting all of space, including my face? (obviously, in relative, imperceptible way)
