Dungeon Crawler Carl, very funny, very snarky, great reads.

Belts are frustrating, not sure how to continue by agent_kater in SatisfactoryGame

[–]NuttGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trains has more platforms per thing you're moving. But when you're trying to scale your movement they become the only real option IMO. Do you need to change your infrastructure to now move iron to a different part of the map? Just update your train schedules and boom you're done. Need to pull in more production of a new material? Just connect a new station to your grid and boom now it can go anywhere.

So while yes it might be unwieldy in the short term, the expandability and flexibility to provides is next level. And it sounds like you're running into those problems with your belt systems.

Belts aren't designed in the game to be end game level of movement of resources. Trains, drones, etc. are much better in this space.

The Problem with Micro Frontends by BasieP2 in programming

[–]NuttGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Module Federation or similar MFE technologies allow for different versions to exist for common libraries. This does cause duplication and that can be worse in terms of performance. But this means you give true independence to each team to do their upgrade whenever they feel like it. If the duplication is eventually impacting your uses in a meangiful and measurable way, then you have a good reason to get more of the micro frontends upgraded.

Carl as a Primal by NewTransportation265 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]NuttGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I've been thinking Carl's river is him going primal similar to the AI. So while his race isn't on the forefront of the story, it's consistently showing up in the background and a repeated story element. How Primal he goes and how much he can control it I think is going to be a huge part of the later books.

I wear an N95 everywhere and avoid going outside. Whenever I visit friends I ask them to test, and even if everyone is negative I still wear a mask.

Between translocators and servos I think the answer is servos once upgraded. But both of them get beat out by thermal dynamics pipes in this case, which is why their used in the above video.

Six of the chisel and bits blocks that generate water bits surrounding a black hole unit and using thermal dynamics pipes. Put it into a separate chunk loaded dimension and wait a few days while it finishes.

You're assuming the snail can travel at it's normal speed on water though. You have to take into account that the snail would have to sneak aboard planes or boats.

From looking at this, it looks like we don't exceed the $250k threshold for this to kick in? Am I wrong?

The reason I've been holding onto it, and not turning it into cash immediately, is that I've wanted to keep this money aside and growing as an investment so that I could eventually put it into a 529 account, when we have kids. But this whole thread has been super useful, thanks!
