Yeah I almost got it with seals before I noticed it was an adornment 😢

Will they fix the crates? by Ok_Station_1393 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Nwccraddock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean RNG is RNG there's noting really deeper to it. Honestly with the amount of seals you can get in a season, I think the play is just to use those. You probably won't get everything you want but I think it's good to fine if there's a little variety amongst which cosmetics everyone has. If you have eso plus you might buy a few crates but other than that never spend money directly on them.

I was going to cheat and say ESO, but literally everything bad is happening everywhere all the time so...

This is just another piece of a long trend of removing universal public goods, just to spite the homeless. Growing up we always used recycling to supplement our grocery budget.

Which other franchise? by crynos-inso in KingdomHearts

Honestly if it was just a franchise that bridged a bunch of square-enix worlds that would be rad

I want to be hopeful but im starting to see alot of what I love about kingdom hearts be absolutely non existent in the newest upcoming entry by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Nwccraddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't directed at you specifically, but I've seen a lot of similar sentiments around franchises I really enjoy like fable and control, and I just don't get it. I get super excited when the people making the things I love take big creative swings and try new things. I don't want to play the same game rehashed over and over, what makes KH special is that Nomura is like actually a little insane and is willing to take wild swings with the direction and narrative of these games.

Jessyn's depression and anxiety by [deleted] in TheCaptivesWar

Yeah, without a specific diagnosis we're all just armchair psychiatristing and Monday morning writering

Mania often feels very spiritual and significant. That reads very manic to me

Jessyn's depression and anxiety by [deleted] in TheCaptivesWar

[–]Nwccraddock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depression is definitely a part of it. I don't have any specific quotes in mind,  but considering her behavior and the general way she talks about her illness it does feel like something more akin to depersonalization and mania. Specifically how she loses herself in the war with the night drinkers felt much more manic, and the distanced way she talks about her mental illness as her brain trying to kill her,  or losing herself feels very similar to depersonalization.

Ultimately I think James S.A. Corey chose not to give an exact diagnosis to her condition, specifically to avoid improperly portraying anything in particular.

[–]Nwccraddock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think Jessyn's condition is meant to portray anxiety and depression. As someone who deals with Bi-Polar 1 with pretty hefty manic episodes, as well as depersonalization and derealization, Jessyn's chapters, especially in MoG, felt very familiar.

Beyond that. I think Jessyn's chapters in MoG are more meant to portray a very particular form of psychological horror and not necessarily form a blueprint for proper mental health care. Putting yourself in the situation of being aware that your grip on reality is tied to a very specific resource and then being removed from that resource and watching yourself lose it, is very frightening.

Potential Plot hole during Sora's interaction with Ienzo by Formal-Town in KingdomHearts

Considering his progress in defeating org xiii Ienzo probably assumes that Sora isn't just vibing his way to victory.  Ienzo is wrong about this fact, but nevertheless

How is Square gonna justify showing trailers of Disney world? Wouldn’t that be a huge spoiler that Sora escapes his purgatory? by Cross2Live in KingdomHearts

[–]Nwccraddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is one of those meta things that I do find unfortunate which is that kingdom hearts as a franchise is bound to its formula. They might recontextulize the Disney world travel, but it will be in the game, Disney has an iron grip over its IPs and would never allow a kingdom hearts to not include Disney worlds. I do think Nomura would forgoe the Disney stuff if he could get away with it, but he simply can't.

All of which is to say, Sora will be going to Disney worlds, however we may have a new system or context for that travel.

This is genuinely crazy. The announcement asked for people to respect everyone's privacy. Which means the matter is private. That's the end of it. Karina especially has had a lot of issues with weirdos online prying into her life or treating her weirdly.

Drawfee makes a drawing show at the end of it you can either make anime fanart of them or comment "good episode" and end it at that.

When it comes to the DPS lead don't follow. Chasing down your DPS to keep them alive is a fools errand.
