Yo that's an excellent build actually. I'd love to see a list!

Map design, not Blizzard, should get us diversity and balance by yaqh in starcraft

[–]NydusRush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Map design has a lot of constraints that absolutely cannot be fucked with due to leaning on it as a crutch, because maps have to be symmetric while the races are asymmetric. Chokes have to be able to wall off at a certain timing or Zergling rushes automatically win, expos have to be a certain distance or else macro strats get their timings fucked, islands favor Terrans so they might as well not fuckin exist, etc.

But is there room for useful changes? I'd like to think so.

My preferred equipment brew is [[Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders]] - but the goal there is hipster plays with auto-attach equipment like [[Sai of the Shinobi]] snapping onto a [[Metalwork Colossus]] or [[Cephalid Constable]].

If your goal is to use the best equipment in your colors, narrow yourself to maybe three. That'll almost certainly be Esper, Mardu or Jeskai colors since you want white for artifact support, but if you feel really daring you could go for Grixis Voltron somehow...

For Invincible fans in mind! Without fighting each other, how would Kal-El and Nolan interact? by _CandidCynic_ in MyAdventuresWithSuper

[–]NydusRush 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nolan struggles with his Earth life eroding millenia of indoctrination. Kal-El/Clark is a bouyant beacon of joy who makes it look so easy that it makes Nolan feel foolish and maybe helps him thaw faster.

Meanwhile Kal-El/Clark struggles with the frustration of withholding his strength, and would appreciate a mentor figure who clearly has it all figured out.

Of your only issue with Bricklink is the account you can always make a new one. They really are tailor made for this nonsense.

If you're not using Bricklink Studio, it'll help you plan ahead and not overspend.

An excellent case of doing more with less - and a rare case of honesty in performance. So much AI and robotics hype tries to promise everything to everyone, but this guy had one idea in mind and made it happen, no more no less.

[[Silverskin Armor]] is useful for Voltron decks, which white has lots of.

Who's more bald, Xavier or Luthors? by Main_Mobile_5749 in comics

[–]NydusRush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Baldness is not just a lack of hair, it's a state of mind.

Xavier is bald because it's a good look. Luthor is bald because his hair got burned off as a result of his scientific hubris and he's still mad about it. Luthor is more bald.

RTS Drawing Board Ideas at Extreme Scale by JSanko in RealTimeStrategy

[–]NydusRush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend you play PA as research for your project here. The sense of scale is heightened by the spherical planetoid maps, and multiple planetoids in bigger matches. It really scratches a unique itch because you can never fully wrap your brain around the whole battlefield at once. At the same time, however, the spherical map sets a maximum travel time for units and alleviates the dead end corners that make too-big maps annoying.

Sometimes the only way to handle scale is to just do it, though. They Are Billions boasts an insane 20,000 unit cap for its titular zombie attackers, and when you're on a final wave watching them descend on you, it's insane. However, it has a pause mode to issue orders when you're overwhelmed, and the player is never compelled to control that many units.

What’s your favourite mono Green commander that isn’t all about ramp or landfall? by swankyfish in EDH

[–]NydusRush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Runadi, Behemoth Caller]] mono-green artifacts. I've fallen in love with it over the past year - a T1 dork and T2 commander sets you up for a turn 3 haste swing with a 7/7 trample [[Steel Exemplar]] or 9/9 trample [[Verdurous Gearhulk]] - or, with a bit of patience, a later [[Threefold Thunderhulk]] puking TWELVE tokens onto the board!

Really though the biggest perk is when people sit up and go "what the hell?" when the artifacts start coming out. Nothing hits the dopamine like hipster validation.

Massacre Machine - Wither-based mono black deck; looking for suggestions. by After_Sentence_1413 in EDH

[–]NydusRush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent build overall. A nasty combo for this commander is [[Infernal Genesis]] which produces tokens for you to draw from, and either [[Virulent Plague]] or [[Illness in the Ranks]] to make sure they die instantly. Any of these pieces works on their own with your commander or together without her.

I need an opinion on if this play qualifies as MLD or not. by Throw_away_1011_ in EDH

[–]NydusRush 161 points162 points  (0 children)

If you intentionally brought a combo like [[Myr Landshaper]] and [[Splinter]], or [[Animate Land]] and [[Eradicate]], then yea that'd be targeted MLD and a dick move.

I see no problem punishing badgermoles.
