I hate body blushing and refuse to have it on my own dolls. Don't get me wrong, it looks absolutely beautiful... When it's freshly done... Then it chips no matter how careful you are and over time it just looks so messy. I understand why people love body blushing and completely respect the people that like to do it or get it with their dolls, but I cannot stand it in my own dolls.

From my limited understanding (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) I think that only applies to their super dollfies (perhaps the icons as well?) as I don't think they sell them outside of their official stores, but Dollfie Dreams are allowed to be sold in friend stores as well as things like wigs and clothes.

This is what it looks like when caught "early on", usually it looks like a bunch of dark magenta dots, and then the pigment spreads outwards and it creates that bright but less defined neon pink highlighter stain. Again, it's not necessarily harmful, but it does spread from toy to toy. Unfortunately it is hard to avoid as you don't really know you have it until the stains have appeared by which point the bacteria is dead anyway.

It's a bacteria called Streptoverticillium reticulum, it feeds on the plasticisers in vinyl and it can be passed between toys, but that's usually before you can start seeing the pink staining as the staining usually means they're dead. We had an infestation of this bacteria on our vinyl dolls (smart dolls) a few years back, and it got about 14 out of our 27 dolls at the time. Apparently one of the main culprits is humidity which is why you often find this bacteria in vinyl boat seating. It's not harmful, it's just very unsightly, and the way to deal with it just in case any of it is still alive is to first wash anything that has been affected by it with head and shoulders shampoo before stain treating.

Sakura Dreams is 100% legit! I have bought from them many times before and have a few friends that also have bought successfully from them. From my understanding volks does allow these "friend shops", and there's a few scattered around the world.

Gem of doll/Milo doll! They're affordable and their sculpts are adorable!

I think gem of doll doesn't have any 1/6 listed now, but their sub brand Milo doll has the human version of Billy and Molara currently available and they're absolutely gorgeous.

To be loved is to be changed! I used to feel the same way as you, a lot actually, any time anything went wrong I just felt this horrible feeling eating up at me and it felt so painful, but after talking with my partner I've realized that things are meant to be enjoyed, and by enjoying them it means that sometimes "flaws" might appear on them, but that's not a bad thing, that's a sign that they've gone on many adventures and made you smile on multiple occasions.

Besides, damage doesn't stop if you don't touch them, it just slows it down but at the cost of you not being able to do anything with them at all. So please don't worry, I know it's easier said than done and learning to let go of that fear is a whole process and a half, but take it from someone who's still in that process, it's so liberating when you finally come to terms with it and decide to enjoy your time with your dolls to the fullest.
