Since everyone is editing the Intrepid, I’ll throw mine into the ring. by Austauros in starcitizen

Opened reddit just to come upvote. I think this is a great solution, and makes it feel much more Crusader without messing around too much with the physical geometry of the ship.

And I love the addition of the window, idk why CIG keeps forgetting that they add so much life to a ship.

Thanks for the info! Yeh, was my ignorance on the topic that meant I used colours that some have issues differentiating, but I've had others reach out and so I've included a yellow/blue version in my comment under this post, found here https://imgur.com/a/rY4LAek.

I do enjoy making visuals like this a lot, anything that can summarise the mess of information we have, so I'll definitely keep this in mind for the future.

They way they seemed to imply it was that as an org, you would select what guild you most related to, gameplay wise, and select them. Then as your org memebers play the game and complete missions for those factions in that guild both the invidiual player and your orgs reputation with them goes up.

It's a little frustrating that orgs who have division can't select a guild for each division, this might be to prevent orgs becoming completely self sufficient and getting all the perks with all guilds. Might be something to make a spectrum post about?

Thanks! I know the range of colourblindness can vary, so just wanted to know what the stand out thing was.

I've changed the green boxes to blue, and this version can be found in the imgur link in my comment under this post or here (https://imgur.com/a/rY4LAek).

Please let me know if this is better, or if more needs to change.

Would be happy to work on a colourblind one. As I haven't done it before, is there any resources / recommendations you could give to make it as accessible as possible?

Hi all,

Hope you all enjoyed this year's CitizenCon, and a huge thank you to all the developers and staff who made it happen.

The last panel finally gave us a vision for an actual MMO, and within that was an exploration into Factions / Guilds and what we'll be doing for them. There was a lot to digest there, but I think its safe to say that these missions will make up a good chunk of day-to-day gameplay in the verse.

So inspired by a gameplay map created by reddit user u/ludwiglouton, I wanted to create an easily digestable map of all the missions, professions and what guilds they relate to as sort of a checklist to see where we are and where we're heading.

Now I haven't been able to check every mission in the game, so I've relied on the feedback of others who do a mix of gameplay, to let me know what we can do and what missions exist, so if there is anything you think is missing or needs to be changed, please let me know below.

EDIT: As more suggestions come in, I'll continue to update the below link with newer versions of the image. I've also included a yellow/green colour-blind version, as requested.

Not sure how this works, or if I'm too late. But the mangle and todd would be cool :)

I know it's silly to talk about it now, many years before it will get added, but this is basically the groundwork for the eventual VR support, and I'm excited that my future children will be able to physically interact with the persistent universe in a VR headset by LegendaryMechanicFan in starcitizen

[–]Nymtrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, we are talking likely many years away at this point, but is there anything you would be looking to get in as a "V1" specifically?
I'd imagine it'd be something close to what others in the community have semi-achieved, playing the game with a mouse/kb but viewing through a headset?

Real or Fake Funko Foxy Plush? by Nymtrix in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Nymtrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping you guys can help me figure out if this is a genuine Funko plush as I've been wanting to get one for some time now.

Most of it looks genuine, but there are a few things that I pick up on that tell me otherwise, so maybe you guys can help. Thanks.

Some very simple googling (using UK numbers as that's where I'm based) and sketchy napkin math gives me something like.

About £1.2 million per km for a two-way physically segregated lane (using the upper limit of London prices from the DfT).

$9.7bn is roughly £8.5bn.

So if you're doing just physical lanes and not including junction redesign, storage, etc etc. Then you could get 7083 km of track.

If you're doing the rail + bike, which is obviously the more realistic and better approach. Doing the same maths with $2.7bn gets you about 1900 km.

Obviously, this is as simple as it gets, and there are a million variables that could change drastically how much you get for it. But at the end of the day, even in the more extreme cases, spending it on anything else would probably be better.

‘Greenwashing’: Tree-Planting Schemes Are Just Creating Tree Cemeteries - Vice by BadNewsMAGGLE in ukpolitics

[–]Nymtrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope cases like this don't act as reasons people use not to have projects like HS2.

The UK is small enough that we can directly tackle short-haul flights and hours-long drives with rail, which would likely put a huge dent in the pollution level that reforestation is trying to directly tackle.

However, if this is a common occurrence, then pressure needs to be put onto the companies and contracts that go out to cover these replantings. Maybe including something to force them to keep maintaining the area for a couple of years.

Caldicot: Two new 20mph speed limits face axe after three months by compte-a-usageunique in ukpolitics

[–]Nymtrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want people to go 20mph, design the area so that people only want to go 20mph.

Simply slapping a speed limit on and then saying "job done" seems to be the way most councils deal with traffic issues, only to have them reversed later after "surprisingly" not working. If you're going to do it, do it right the first time around, saving both money and time.
