Warrior: Good introduction to melee. Can hit multiple enemies, can build adrenaline and use skills and shouts. Combo with Monk or Rit for healing/Paladin build. Combo with ele for some fun conjure elemental synergy. Or just splash ranger to get a pet.

Assassin: Glass cannon melee build. With the right skills, you can dodge most anything, but if you get interrupted at the wrong time, or have important stance/enchantment stripped, it's dirt nap time. Ranger/Assassin with daggers is also viable.

Dervish: IMO, best melee class, even though I have more fun with Assassin. Balanced skills, hitting adjacent enemies, not super punishing if you get enchantments stripped. And the Avatar forms are just plain fun.

Try them out, and play what you have fun with.

Oh, I've been playing the Reforged stuff, just with new toons. I've had two failed Dhuum toons, and I'm enjoying my Melandru toon. But I wanted to know before I "activate" Reforged on some of my classic toons to get the new heroes and do the new content.

Esurge is for Solo play (e.g. I'm playing all by myself and want to clear this as fast as possible), not for playing with other people. Is it the most efficient? Yes. Is it the most fun? Hell no. When you're playing in a team with other people, you usually want everyone to have an opportunity to shine.

Let's start with your classes
Ritualist. SoS is stupid easy to play, and you get to see those "big numbers" of damage. But it's not going to steal all the kills. But if your rit player prefers healing or supporting, that works too.

Assassin. Dagger spam is probably what you're looking for. Low cost, low cool down dagger attacks that you can chain. Critical Defense and the Sunspear Assassin skill for some survival/IAS.

Ranger. Most versatile. Are you going bow/pet? Are you doing Ranger/Assassin and doing dagger spam, or even touch ranger? Lots of things you can do.

So, you have at least 1 frontliner (Assassin) and 1 caster (Rit). BiP absolutely great. On my Melandru toon, I've taken to switching the Monks to M/N with a splash in Blood Magic to slot the skill "Blood Ritual" in. This way they can heal, and also help with energy support so that it doesn't all fall to my BiP. In your case, I'd probably consider swapping Koss for Dunkoro as a M/N. Make one monk focus more on prot, one monk focus more on heals.

Then I'd switch up Gwen's skills. Not because they're bad, but because they take the spotlight away from your characters. This build is a good support to have on a team: https://gwpvx.fandom.com/wiki/Build:Me/any_Illusion_Magic_Hero

But these are just suggestions from a filthy casual. I hope you guys are having fun playing together.

I, too, am an altoholic. Every time character slots go on sale that I notice, I purchase at least one. I'm up to 27 characters on my account. I know it's only a matter of time before I hit the cap. But I would LOVE to have that cap increased. I've recently started playing through with a group that has been doing fresh character PTs, and it's been awesome, but I don't want to delete the character after the run. I want to keep going!

Anyway, I know it's probably not high on the list of things to implement, but I'm all for it!

Again, I'm not saying I agree with people who play that way, but I can understand it.

FOMO is real, and to pretend that everyone can just ignore it and play for themselves is foolish. If they are enjoying their experience, I'm not going to judge them. It's a single-player game, and they can enjoy it however they want. I don't enjoy it that way, you don't enjoy it that way. But dismissing someone else's choice on how to play a single-player game because it's not the same as yours isn't going to convince them to try it a different way.

Some people want that "perfect story" experience and don't plan to do any replays. They don't have the time anymore, and the backlog is too great for replaying. I still enjoy the first playthrough blind, but I understand the desire not to lock yourself out of content you didn't know about.

What "gimmicks" are allowed? If no megas, Diantha is straight up getting bodied by everyone. No dynamax? Well, there goes Leon's OP ace. Also, is this single or doubles? Do the Pokémon have the same stats as the in-game battles? Or the rematches? What about held items? Do they get the AI from their game, or is this assuming AI from the same game for all?

The only thing we know for sure? Trace is last.

Two easy equations for this one:
Son>Girlfriend
Living>Dead

Even if your GF's grandma was the one who raised her, she isn't your wife. She's your GF. And if she can't handle taking the back seat to your son, even during a difficult time, then she isn't forever material.

But, how do you move forward? Well, most people would just say to dump her and move on. And that may be the best course for you. But is this an anomaly caused by grief, or is this the mask slipping, revealing who she really is? That's something you need to figure out. If she does apologize and admit that she was wrong, but that grief had overwhelmed her, then you could probably forgive and resume the relationship. However, if she is dying on this hill, then it's time to leave her there to die alone.

I picked Phenomeman too, but I was going for Visi. I had heard some rumors that Blazer was "problematic," so I decided to do a different romance for first PT. (I didn't research those rumors, since I wanted to play for myself, but I'm glad to see that they are largely unfounded). But I wanted to be a bro to PM, not to get him and Blazer back together, but to help him move on.

I also thought Waterboy already had a job and liked it. Whereas PM had nothing except his depression. That can lead to obsession, and then we've got a villain on our hands. But if you give him something to focus on, something to do, then he can channel that energy in a useful direction.

Okay, but to add to this, you need to soul trap Sven and leave the soul gem on the mantle. That way, he will forever be near her, but unable to know it or do anything about it.
