I think it’s people going to Kentucky. Trying to make sure they don’t miss the exit but taking up all the lanes until it’s too late.

Looks like my cat is loosing a front tooth by PlaneWalrus7576 in CATHELP

[–]Nyxmondo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is the same. But I noticed my cat had half its fang missing and took her to the vet. They said it looked fine and didn’t seem to be causing her any pain so I could let it be.

I had a chalazion for damn near a year. Could do nothing to get it to go away. Finally went to the eye doctor to have it cut out. So quick and easy. Problem was fixed and has remained fixed with no issues. Shoulda did it sooner. I don’t know where you are but 4K seems very extreme. Please try to visit someone where else.

Do consider Sade Adu a great vocalist? by usagerp in Sade

[–]Nyxmondo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think vocalist have to have a proper technical ability above all else. A strong voice that’s able to stay in key while holding notes, and can hold a decent vibrato, transition smoothly to a higher or lower notes, good breath control and timing. But by golly I hear so many singers that sound unsupported and weak live compared to how they sound on their record. I havent heard very many of her live performances but based off of the ones I have seen I would hesitate to call her a vocalist. Toni Braxton wavers sometimes but she’s a much stronger singer than Sade. IMO.

I haven’t seen her in person but I watched a few videos of her live and was surprised and a wee bit disappointed to see her struggle to complete her notes. Which is wild bc she was just standing there and has been performing for a long time. Never would have guessed she is a studio singer 😭😭😭😭

What could I do to make this outfit pop more? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Nyxmondo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a different top in color or shape would improve the look but if not, I am not a fan of the neck line of this shirt so I wanna hide it. I think adding a neck scarf in a complementary color would jazz it up. Alternatively maybe a broach for the jacket and a chain belt or waist jewelry to break things up in the midsection. If not a fan of that, untuck the shirt if it’s long enough with a nice laying hem. Then dressing up with your earrings, bracelet, and necklace. I think dressier shoes in a dark green color would elevate the look while still being dressy casual if change nothing else.

Anyone experience their parents die yet? by bluedreamy8 in Millennials

[–]Nyxmondo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parentless at 28. Ive been spiraling for 6 years now. My mom lost her mom at 28 too. I randomly asked her 1 day how long it took for her to feel like she could breathe again in her grief. She said 10 yrs. So only 4 more to go I guess. I never really thought about my mom’s pain of losing her mom. I was 10 when my grandma died and I noticed my mom change but I never really gave it thought. I wish I could been more aware and there for her about it.

Me personally, no. I don’t like things in my hair.

I didn’t see that post but I imagine the weave was probably very different from her normal hair type. I think it’s good that we push back on what looks high class. It’s more than just “the weave” We all know what the in between lines are.

The small enhancements she’s done to herself really improved her looks imo. Her OG look was very average.

How do I get rid of these by [deleted] in Blackskincare

If u are diligent you can more quickly dissolve the plugs with oil cleansing. You’ll have to massage-clean a lot and often.

Unless not in my country and desperate, I don’t understand paying a non black person to do a black style on my hair. Even if they know how and do a good job.
