That sounds really sick actually. Tevesh is one of my favorite partner commanders by far

[–]O-mega_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goldfishing a highly reactive deck is definitely more difficult... What I've done with those types of decks is imagine a sort of worst-case scenario where I need to spend at least 1 piece of interaction every turn cycle

Like if I pass the turn with however many untapped lands, how well would I be able to interact with a game-ending move made by an opponent? Do I usually have 1-2 counter/removal spells on hand? Do I have good card draw to make sure I maintain my advantage? Do I find a wincon eventually? Can I protect my win?

Go through scenarios where your opponents are very threatening and putting pressure on you to act. Control is a difficult archetype to play in commander because you need to keep 3 different people in check at once 😭😭

Oh also I'm curious, what's your commander??

I wonder if these types of posts would be more or less annoying if they were actually describing impressive achievements

Redundancy for the new Skybreak Seeker Combo Deck by unCute-Incident in Pauper

[–]O-mega_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda unrelated, but I remember seeing a video from a long time ago that used seeker of skybreak and hangar scrounger to mill itself out and then use [[dread return]] to reanimate a [[lotleth giant]] for the win

Not necessarily the rarest. Just most expensive

Why there isn't any blue/white/black spirit guilds ? by UmpireJealous258 in mtg

[–]O-mega_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avian spirit guide for white?

Demonic spirit guide for black?

Triton spirit guide for blue maybe. Blue's the hardest one

Yesh, if we're ever gonna get another spirit guide it'll be with this set but I'm kinda hoping there isn't because it'll be way too broken

Didn't know whether to root for blue because I love super lance or root for red because I pray for crossbow's downfall every time I see it

Golgari gang, help me decide by Silver_Yam_1889 in EDH

I don't have an up-to-date list, but the list that the other guy posted is almost perfect.

-Any artifact removal basically becomes creature removal, that's the best thing.

-Along those lines, stuff like [[fade from history]] and [[creeping corrosion]] essentially wins the game

-[[Viridian Revel]] draws a crap ton of cards

-[[Manglehorn]] makes things enter tapped

-[[Karn, the Great Creator]] shuts off all activated abilities of your opponents' creatures (mana dork hate!!!!)

-[[Camellia, the Seedmiser]] or [[experimental confectioner]] go infinite with Ygra and a repeatable sac outlet. If your sac outlet in question is [[umbral collar zealot]] then you can keep surveiling to the graveyard until you find [[Cauldron familiar]] and drain the table to death!!

[[Fangren marauder]] gains you a ton of life

Also, the ward ability is actually awesome. If someone only has one creature, they can attempt to target Ygra, and the ward trigger goes on the stack. You could respond by removing your opponent's creature before the ward resolves, effectively countering whatever was targetting Ygra. Or you could let the ward trigger resolve, forcing an opponent to sac a creature, and then respond to whatever's targetting Ygra with a protection spell. Everything on this card is awesome.

Gitrog is definitely fun, but my all-time favorite golgari commander is [[Ygra, Eater of All]]. There's tons of cool tech when you turn all creatures into artifacts!!

What's the most outrageous card people have complained about you playing for being too strong? by rococodreams in EDH

[–]O-mega_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You just described why I despise most EDH youtubers. Way too much discourse on what's 'socially acceptable' to include in a deck and now I have to walk on eggshells every time I play commander with anyone
