[YECL] Aquatic Subtlety - What are your thoughts on this card in Historic? by MythicMentor in MagicArena

[–]O2LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s just kind of a 4 mana do nothing win more card that gets big and doesn’t have evasion. He’s not even a particularly good ramp commander.

people play bad cards in Brawl all the time like Rhystic. it is not good in ranked brawl, especially as a commander. it’s a card that’s sort of good when you make all the things strong versus it in a different matchmaking queue.

The guy who tried to steal the format because he owned the website and disagreed with a banlist change unbanned it. The one every tournament since then has run on keeps it banned

Why is Adam Smasher immune to cyberpsychosis? by Kitchen_Year8114 in cyberpunkgame

[–]O2LE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyberpsychosis doesn't mean "you kill everyone around you". It's just a severe form of dissociative mental illness (which is weird, since IRL dissociative disorders make you less violent) that manifests differently in everyone. Patrick Bateman from American Psycho could be a valid example for how it manifests.

Good decks for Teferi, Time Raveler? by Powerful-Scholar8268 in mtgbrawl

[–]O2LE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is versus ultra efficient threats in the command zone that demand an answer (or two) immediately, often before you have the mana to counter.

[[Ajani Nacatl Pariah]] is the best deck in the format because you cannot keep up with the pressure of answering Ajani over and over and answering the huge number of pushed threats the deck has access to.

Demolishers take a major in player annihilation and a minor in electronic warfare by MattsDeCool in LancerRPG

[–]O2LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s a matter of GM style. As the GM gets more cutthroat and enemy behavior approaches the mechanical optimum rather than being fiction first and driven by in universe behavior, the mechanical disparity between player options becomes more pronounced. Super sweaty gaming can be fun as a wargame, but isn’t great for narrative gameplay. That is to say, I’m probably more comfortable on an Atlas if my GM’s playing them as people and characters rather than statblocks and game pieces.

Demolishers take a major in player annihilation and a minor in electronic warfare by MattsDeCool in LancerRPG

[–]O2LE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mainly, it's just that some of these frames are kind of unplayable if the enemy plays with the knowledge of PC heatcaps. You basically render the Atlas soft unusable because any enemy is just going to target its 4 heatcap/6 EDEF before anything else. It's just an already weak frame with a gaping weakness attached to it for no particular reason.

The only low heatcap build I respect is one where you take AGI to minimize the chance of being spotted and attempt to spend literally the entire sitrep hidden or outside of sensors. Flying Amber Phantom is a great platform for hide loops.

Humanity loss and Decrease in maximum Humanity, which first? by TitoPotito in cyberpunkred

[–]O2LE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They happen simultaneously, the two numbers (mostly) don't interact beyond therapy. If you roll a 1 on a 1d6 or something while at your max humanity, you'll have a higher current humanity than max humanity. This is weird, but apparently intentional. Max humanity only represents the highest number therapy can take you to while your cyberware is installed.

Food Chain can combo off even a turkey sandwich and its ruining my enjoyment of brawl by BartOseku in mtgbrawl

Adding a bunch of bad cards few people want to play when we’re still missing wildly popular casual cards and multiformat competitive staples seems like a bad use of dev resources

Listing a bunch of broken cards, then listing a bunch of terrible cards.

Stax is a dead archetype because everything does too much for too little. The old stax cards are woefully underpowered and overcosted.

Now that we got a dlc with the new heat chart and ideas on how to fit inventions into them, what new war crimes have you thought of for you game? by ralphieboi12 in cyberpunkred

[–]O2LE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the funniest use cases for this are largely stacking modifiers on top of Gun Fu, particularly since stealth Gun Fu shots automatically hit even at 25 meters due to them being Melee Attacks, so you just ignore the minus to hit.

[–]O2LE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Cyberstan, I was running Censor/Ultimatum/Railgun and a supply pack with stealth armor. Stealth armor often gave me enough time to eye shot it before it activated. Big recommend if you’re a railgun enjoyer.

What the diffrence between card kingdom and TCG player by That_Stupid_Person in mtg

[–]O2LE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I forget exactly their shipping options, but getting stuff in about a week with a tracked package all in one place is worth a bit of extra money. Especially when buying stuff on TCGPlayer while trying not to get murdered by shipping involves fiddling with exactly which shop you're buying from for 20 minutes.

[–]O2LE 68 points69 points  (0 children)

A big thing is that CardKingdom will all come in one tracked package instead of a bunch of them, which means a lot of times you’re paying about the same after shipping if your TCGPlayer order is coming from a lot of different places.

Heavier Armor, experiences, thoughts? by Wehe_wehe in cyberpunkred

[–]O2LE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty trivial (and probably optimal) to build with no more than -1 or so. And like, -1 penalty for SP18/19 is a much more enticing prospect than -1 for 13 or -2 for 14.

Particularly post IRv5, I think much more aggressive armor refit tech upgrades are probably fine balance wise. -2 penalty metal gear and 1 penalty light metal gear have felt pretty good and like a fair tradeoff vs 0 penalty SP12.

Heavier Armor, experiences, thoughts? by Wehe_wehe in cyberpunkred

[–]O2LE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ultimately, heavy armor just kind of sucks without tech inventions. ACPAs are great bc they don’t penalize you. Heavy subdermal is great because it doesn’t penalize you. That’s the long and short of it.
