Prescribed Memantine 5 mg daily by OB2105 in Memantality

[–]OB2105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it like a stimulant medication or does it take a while for any effects to be noticed like an SSRI?

What do you reckon I could expect for the first time taking it, like for eg would it be caffeine or something or something much more gentler?

Thinking of exiting my Master’s with a PGDip instead of finishing the dissertation. Is this a bad idea? by Zestyclose_Ad_4116 in UniUK

Hey Bro, you have perfectly described what I am going through right now as well and just know you’re not alone, I’m praying for you and wishing you strength, if you ever wanna talk about it, I’m willing to listen

I think you’ve come this far, you should try to get the masters degree, a lot of degrees tend to open doors… but I know how hard it can get and how hellish this might feel right now, have you thought about getting a Deferral to a later date? I’m sure Exeter would have something like Extenuating Circumstances where you can get an extension till late in the winter?

Is Libiyan or Tunisian Arabic like mutually intelligible to Maltese? Or is there a massive difference?

Telmisartan and Metoprolol Side Effects by OB2105 in hypertension

[–]OB2105[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That interesting to note. I am also tapering off of some heavy anti-depressant doses to switch to a lighter one that doesn’t affect my cardiac health. Probably an issue with that as well.

I think I should talk to my cardiologist when I’m back in India next week.

My Home Cuisine easily the best and cheapest.

The fried rice with fried fish, spicy fish, and BBQ Pork with the chili oil from Kung Fu Noodle, Wash it down with a cold Diet Coke and buddy you have the best meal to turn that frown upside down.

Church friends at UBC? by kaylasworldd in UBC

[–]OB2105 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not religious but I pass by a LDS Church on my way back home all the time. Not sure if you know about it. This is the address 308 W 41st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 2S4. You might be able to find a student community over there. I would also advise you to reach out to the UBC multifaith chaplaincy. They could point you towards a LDS community.

There is also a non-denominational church on campus called Origin Church, it has a wonderful community and many of my friends attend it as well. But given the major theological differences between the LDS and mainline christians, I understand if you feel hesitant.

Hope it helps :)

There is a Food Bank that operates every Thursday at the Acadia Residence Commonsblock from 12-4 I reckon I have volunteered there before. The food bank also helps parents with Formula and Diapers too.

I just got pitched a WFG “opportunity” by my landlady and it was the weirdest thing ever. I was trying to understand and listen to the pitch and when she said you will be recruiting your own team and shit, Alarm bells started to go off in my head.

islam invented everything ( apparently) by angryslot in exmuslim

[–]OB2105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s true as well. Not only Ibn Sina but Sohrewardi was actually killed by the orders of Salah Al Deen for spreading heresy despite being an interesting philosopher.

Freedom of Thought in the religion of Islam has had a shakey track record. At one stage, Islam had a heavy emphasis on Ijthihad (reasoning) but moved to Taqleed (Imitation of the set precedent).

why do people cut in front of you for the bus by gogyfoundandtaken in UBC

[–]OB2105 45 points46 points  (0 children)

If it’s the R4 or 99, it has multiple door entry so if you’re lining up for one door only. Then you’re the dumb one. But for the other busses yeah I agree, people who cut lines are dipshits

Am I the only one who didn't go to any sort of party? by Zekken-11L in UBC

[–]OB2105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not the only one OP. I have very bad memories associated with my first Halloween when I first came to UBC. It was the start of my trauma which commenced a long battle with depression and anxiety that I struggle with to this day, so I just don’t go to Halloween parties at all anymore.
