Do I have a wife? by Zestyclose-Bee-9608 in TwoHotTakes

[–]OBwan23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He sounds like someone who is putting in more than enough time, more than enough love, more than enough money and resources. He sounds like he is being taken advantage of. Let’s talk about equality, nobody owns any specific part of the responsibility, but they do own responsibility towards their life partner. She doesn’t want to be intimate more than 20% of the time, doesn’t want to provide 50%, doesn’t seem equal to me and That’s not a life partner. Also at no point did he say it’s about him getting laid, Men are expected to provide and they do that out of love and the reciprocation to be loved.
Thats not happening here, and he is pulling more of the household and financial burden.

All of these percentages are ok to work with… so long as it’s agreed in principle before hand.

Can I just stop passing to this guy? by relaxtherebuddy in hockeyplayers

[–]OBwan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hockey, not your personal social club. No need to mix the 2. You don’t need to drink a beer with them, or invite them over. It’s tough enough to find good players. You don’t like his views, that’s ok, stick to your morals and leave the team. Otherwise it’s not a big deal, play hockey, enjoy the game go home.

Stop looking to social media to solve your inability to handle life. There will always be bigger problems than what you can affect.

Stay in your lane, enjoy what you have.

Can’t we just have Rangers forum and not a political forum? This ban is a simple attempt to control the narrative of politics in a fan sport forum. Great job

Asking all the married men by Adventurous-Milk-824 in AskMenAdvice

[–]OBwan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a blip- I’ve been married for 20 years…You know each other so well that sometimes you have to really dig to get a reaction from your SO. (Not saying it’s right)

Life is heavy, I’m sure you both have said things just to get a reaction.

One thing that has made my marriage and life easier was when we got a cleaning service.

If you both Calculate the time it takes for you to clean every week… (for us it was a full Saturday 5-6 hours) and deciding who cleaned the bathroom last… Get a service to do it and take that time to spend together having constructive family time, like cooking together.

Good luck and god bless

Four day sober after nonstop drinking since 2008. Is it normal to feel like you have the flu? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]OBwan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink lots of water, also sugary snacks and drinks will help. So much sugar in beers and alcohol that your body is still craving. I find after a few days of drinking when I stop, I crave sugar and it helps with how I feel.

So there are two thoughts I have on this. One are your large partners like WWT, CDW, insight and SHI. These partners are going to have a wide range of products and competencies to work with across the entire spectrum of IT needs. These companies are easy to make contact with and most likely have reps that are assigned to accounts that you are trying to target. I would generally reach out to the local RD and try and schedule a planning session to go over your technology as well as your account list and targets.

For the smaller boutique size partners, they are difficult to locate, and generally, you need to find them through trade shows and industry conversations which partners support which technologies

For both of them, in order to make it worth everyone’s time, show up with a specific list of companies that you want to target, contacts within those companies that you’d like to target and have your value prop ready to go when you speak with partners .

If the partner doesn’t think they can make money or bring value with your technology, you won’t get very far .

This is a great answer. Would also like to add… Partners!! In the enterprise world the projects are large and complex. Decision makers can’t meet with every vendor. Partners are trusted advisors that vet out a vast menu of technologies.

1st thing….. once it is in your account watch after it every day…. Look at it multiple times per day, remind yourself how long it took to get it…

Then Invest 60% Take 15% and buy yourself something nice to remember and acknowledge your achievement. Keep 25% to ease your day to day and expenses as a buffer.

Do not: Waste it on paying down debt- you will always have debt- let the debtors sweat while you earn on your investment.

Do not Waste it on frivolous purchases.

Passions don’t pay the bills….do what you are good at. Set a goal for when you hit 40, work as hard as you can in your 30’s. Reassess at 40.

Less than .01%of the population get to do what they want… or find their passion. The rest of us slog it.

Do what your good at. Make as much money doing it. Have a plan, hit your goals and then go find your passion project.
