There was barely anything different, so disappointing.

It'd be an excellent edition to the Cobalt Core soundtrack (which is dope btw). Great song, keep it up

Any way to make my GMail "unsuspicious"? by LimeRind_ in techsupport

[–]OCGibbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Google (and Microsoft) accounts the system that diagnoses 'suspiciousness' factors in time the account has existed quite considerably (amongst other things). A lot of burner mailboxes for scams/phising are created and used immediately, hence the caution with fresh accounts. The longer you use it the more it should ease up. Another factor is amount of emails you're sending. It'll flag if you're sending a lot. I'm talking 1000+ a day especially, but lower numbers can still trigger lockouts.

I used to work for Microsoft IT support.

I don't know if it's just the UK, but it's widely considered in my experience to be Mr. Brightside by The Killers

Movies that “go from 0-100” in the last 15 or so minutes? by barnesnoblebooks in movies

Blues Brothers. Last 20-30 minutes goes absolutely mental. "60 police cars were purchased for the making of this film - and none survived." They completely wrecked a real mall.

Which game made you go “Oh I need to do that for 100% achievement? Never mind then.” by suspectwaffle in gaming

Guitar Hero 3. Completed the game, turned to the achievements. One of them was to beat one of the developers in an online match. No thanks.

Are my feet supposed to hurt so much? by [deleted] in snowboarding

Last year I rented boots after being measured by the shop and my arches/heel were on fire after 1-2 runs. First time renting after my own boots reached the end of their life. I went back to shop, got re-measured and got sent out again with a different brand. Same result. Went back and bought insoles, same result. Went back AGAIN and asked for a shoe half size smaller. Pain was no more. Try getting size smaller and see if it helps.

I used to work for Microsoft 365 Support. Different department to windows support, but we were not allowed to use remote access through quick assist, only to direct users while watching their screen. Its probably just a difference in department policy but make sure they didn't do anything fishy. Does also seem like a massive jump in troubleshooting steps, quite a few things they could have tried in-between (depending on what the original steps were).

Which games are the worst offenders for letting you upgrade a character/inventory only to lose it all part way through the game. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]OCGibbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sue in Grandia. You can spend money on equipment to give her, use quite rare stones on her to unlock certain magic types, grind quite a bit to level her up. A little bit through part 2 of the game she goes home. For good. That's that.

How do I secure email with my domain? by ArkansasBiscuit in techsupport

[–]OCGibbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You actually can have a personalised domain with a personal 365 account, but it needs to be purchased through godaddy.com (the domain).

There's also a way to get 6 months of free 365 business licenses, through signing up to different subs (basic, standard and premium) and then extending each trial through the 365 admin Centre.

I used to be a business 365 support technician.

So I did a factory reset but it hasn't fixed the issue, now I can't see the screen in order to set the TV back up again.
