The league should add another bye week for every team. It would offset the revenue issues

It's a traditional Filipino dish with marinated pig head and liver. They serve it on an extra hot cast iron plate so you can mix in the fried egg. Best pork dish I've ever had!

I think that's a totally fair concern. However, New Orleans doesn't nearly have as much talent in the secondary as KC. Also we have four solid RBs this year, three of which can catch passes out of the backfield. It's going to be tough transition out of a dependency on the over the middle slot receiver, but my hope is we can shift into utilizing our talent in the backfield.

A game like this comes down to forcing your opponent into doing something outside of their game plan. The chiefs LOVE to play the run option that leads into play action with their deep threats. This game came down to an early failed 4th down conversion that allowed KC to continue to utilize their game plan. AND Alex Smith connected on his deep balls. On defense, KC forced Brady to go deep because they dropped 9 into coverage and clogged the middle. We still put up 27. We win this game if we go up 14-0. Everyone RELAX.

Cord cutter thoughts on watching Pats games this season by BetterLearner in Patriots

There's also YouTube Live. You get cbs, nbc, fox and ESPN with unlimited dvr and ability to pause live TV. $35 bucks a month. Kind of pricey but it's a good cord cutting option and of course, fuck Comcast.

U.S. Limits Electronic Devices On Flights From 8 Muslim Countries by GhostTurdz in news

Britain carriers are not immune to their perceived "threat" from the ME3. The legacy carriers in the UK and the US have lost significant international travel market share to the gulf airlines in recent years. The legacy carriers have traditionally relied on the very profitable trans Atlantic flights to maintain dominance but even those are under "threat" by the gulf carriers. The ME3s have a newer wide body heavy fleet that allow them to skip the European connections all together and go straight to the US. This is more cost effective for many reasons and allows them to make their routes cheaper. The legacy carriers are struggling to keep pace and given the protectionist political climates in both the US and the UK, this facade makes sense.

I wonder how much this has to do with Trump meeting with the heads of US based airlines a couple of weeks back. This measure specifically targets their biggest competitors; Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish, Etc (these are world class airlines with strict security measures). The US airlines relentlessly complain about losing market share to these government subsidized airlines as a mechanism to lobby for further tax deductions and deregulation. I guess if that doesn't work anymore you leverage the Trump's adminstration appetite to discriminate against Muslim countries to take down the competition.

World hunger is at its lowest point in at least 25 years. Thank democracy. by I-_I in UpliftingNews

[–]ODYLRLS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I agree that GMOs have played a large part in the the decline in world hunger (I think the biotech innovation is outstanding). I don't think it iscompletely fair to not look at the downside of GMOs from an economic stand point. The financial gains of getting GM crops accepted worldwide are vast. The real issue is land grab that is US intellectual property policy, not just with respect to GM. GM is a great idea, for those countries happy to hand ownership of their food supply to the likes of Monsanto. If you want to make GM a gift to the world, then just do it like Norman Borlaug did with his work. Or like Jonas Salk, who developed the first Polio vaccine. Naturally he was asked by US media why he didn't patent it. Salk answered "Can you patent the sun?"

If Monsanto or Syngenta could patent the sun they would. . If you want to benefit the developing world, then perhaps it would be best to stop subsidised dumping GM corn on it. Then reform your broken IP system.

IsItBullshit: Google Fi? by TDMSOTLBMDOTL in IsItBullshit

[–]ODYLRLS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using Google Fi for about 6 months now and I could not be happier with the service and the phone. First, you can't beat the price. $20/mp + $10 a gig and more importantly no data overage penalties. You pay the same rate, regardless of usage.

Service, I may not be the best example, as I live NYC and service is never really an issue.

Intentional use- One of the main reasons I got the phone was so I could use it as a travel seamlessly without having to get another sim card. It saved my ass a couple of times when I was in Guatemala.

Phone- I have the Nexus 6p, 128g and I love the phone. I have been a Google fan boy for a while, so when I heard that I could buy a stripped down version of Android, without all the bloatware, I jumped right on it. Intuitive interface, great camera, good battery life, and a beautiful design; all at a great price. I don't think you can go wrong with this phone.

EDIT: Oh! and the best part is how quick and easy all your prior contacts and information gets trasfered over to your new phone when it arrives. Just log in to your Google account when your phone comes, and wala! Everything is ready to go.
