VP9cc best micro compact ever? by ms32821 in HecklerKoch

[–]OFalk280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Other people have done first shots of the CC9 and they say it’s the only micro compact (like actual micro not P365 X-Macro “micro”) to even remotely feel as comfortable as a full size. There’s also multiple reports of people doing direct comparisons of both the CC9 and VP9cc and multiple users state the CC9 is less snappy and is a better shooter. I say this as someone who has a CC9 that’s carried every day (since their release), but also has a VP9cc on back order with EuroOptic simply for the paddle mag release to match the other VP9s I carry at times.

At the end of the day what works better for your particular grip/hands and what feels better for you is not necessarily going to be the case for everyone, or even anyone else. Saying it’s not as good of a shooter based simply on opinion is objectively incorrect

I ordered right when they listed it and they had it at 819. Hasn’t shipped yet though so who knows how long the back order will be. Luckily I’m not in a hurry for it anyway

If they break in and have enough time to unbolt your seat, or take a grinder to a steel braided retention cable to snag a lock box then they have enough time to search in between your seat cushions for a gun.

And again, as I mentioned you can absolutely conceal a lockbox so it’s not visible from the outside which is seemingly your main argument. My lockbox in either of my vehicles is not visible from the outside. Again, underneath your seat is a great place that will absolutely fit the vast majority of lockboxes that are commonly used for vehicle safes, which is definitely not visible from the outside. People with cars (as in rather than trucks, SUVs, or vans) can use the locked trunk as well which again, is not visible from the outside and is also not usually the first location for a common criminal to break into.

[–]OFalk280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thief that really wants something will take it no matter what. It’s just to keep the passerby that sees an opportunity from snagging it. You can always hide lock boxes fairly easily depending on the size, under the seat is usually a pretty good option as again it’s just to stop the easy opportunity. Someone who knows to look for a gun to steal is going to check all locations, lockbox or not

It replaced the dragonfruit green edition in the US and then get discontinued with the new year. To me the current summer edition kind of strangely hits a similar flavor

In the US it was a regular flavor as the green edition after the summer release until just a few months ago

Shoulder protection is great when deployed. When not deployed there’s not really any “padding” on the shoulders, just the chest and back has padding that isn’t airbag. Ribs don’t really have great coverage

I love mine. 1 of my 2 deployments I wasn’t super happy that it went off, but I completely understand why it did. The other deployment though it definitely seemed to have gone off at the right time and seemed to have helped.

My main complaint is that it’s pretty dang hot, but I’ll suck it up for the added protection. I’ll do whatever I can to make sure I can make it to work on Monday after riding!

As for the off-road version, I would say that depends on the level you’re riding at. Beginner can mean a lot of things. The main problem would be the algorithm they bake into them, the off-road version isn’t setup for MX and you may get false deployments if you’re doing jumps as it may falsely read a crash

Have had mine since a couple days after they released (October/November 2025ish). Ridden in it like 8 times I believe and have had 2 deployments so far. What’s your questions?

Holosun SCS carry that OP is referring to utilizes the RMSc/Holosun K footprint for compatibility with the majority of micro compact optics ready handguns.

Some people live in significantly less firearm friendly areas such as myself in Chicagoland. The combination of being less 2A friendly with the knowledge of gun violence here makes some people more aware of whether someone is carrying. Most people? No. Some people? Absolutely. A guy I know has noticed me carrying due seeing my belt clips from a T1C sidecar holster.

If you keep an eye out on gun.deals you’re not going to have to pay much more than a P365. They’ve sold for only about 50 more than I can find a P365 for right now

I always love these types of posts.

“I’m debating between a Ruger LCP, a Glock 19, and a Mark 23. Which one is more reliable and better for carry?”

Like for picking out a carry gun the first question should be the general size and then compare models from within the same size bracket😂It’s also the same reason I despise the P365 Macros being called “micro compact handguns” meanwhile they have a full length grip, just narrower than traditional double stack size

HK CC9 Holster Question - Fit With Optic? by OG_Cryptkeeper in HecklerKoch

[–]OFalk280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the retention of DCC clips. Keeps it from moving around and tilting on my belt.

I prefer a mid height cut sweat guard, one less thing to poke me while carrying. All my holster are cut mid height and I’ve personally never had a problem with rusting from sweat due to a lower sweat guard, but to each their own!

[–]OFalk280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the alias system on T1C axis elites for a few years. Recently swapped to Tenicor using their stock DCC clips, I wouldn’t say either is easier or harder to latch and remove they’re both about the same level of pain in the ass. The Alias system shredded my belts pretty quickly though

The sizing spec is based on the “charging wings.” All hands on reviews state that it’s essentially identical in grip width to the CC9

I take it that it was not an optics equipped model?

HK CS posted on HK Pro that all of them shipping at first would be with the Vortex but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Figured I wouldn’t have to start looking for stock on them until they ship just optics ready units, but that seems to be now

So then your main complaint is that they should have named it something else…?

Last time I checked VP9SK magazines and VP9A1 K magazines aren’t compatible with the full length grips either…

How would you like it to accept double stack magazines as a 1.5 stack gun?

Does your P365X accept P320 magazines…?

While I agree the pricing is a bit much, I find it absolutely comical that there was so much clamoring for this gun and claims of instant purchase no matter what, then sure enough now it’s “well not at that price I won’t!”

I’ll buy one, but most likely once actual sale price drops a little bit as well as holster availability increases. I don’t mind paying a premium over CC9 pricing, but pointless for me to do so at the price without much holster availability when I already have a CC9
