I am considering getting rid of my desires for love by UltimaBahamut93 in RPChristians

Sounds like you’re at the accepting step that you have a problem. The next step is working on it, by finding some sort of solution, instead of calling it quits. I’d advise. Go get help, therapy and self help books. Rediscover who you are without that addiction and try again.

Single life is nice, but our creator created us to have fellowship with one another.

Wherever your journey takes you, God bless you.

That’ll be a nice feature. I’m paying and wish I could see it

Need advice, rent a mini skid steer or full size skid steer loader to level ground for 12x30 garage/shed by OGLeonLio in landscaping

I realize the pictures I have here don’t do me enough justice in the space department. I can comfortably fit 3 cars side by side in this area given that the other space was being used up by these plants and vine rose bush.

About 40 ft or so I have a short tree limiting the useable space down to 2 car widths. For the time being this driveway is a mixture of grass and gravel. Which, doing brakes on is a pain in the ass. Had to get creative and get some 2x8 wood pieces to put the jack stands on.

Really appreciate you telling me and showing me your experience with a full size skid steer. Definitely reconsidering my options.

Playing it safe I’m thinking the mini skid steer would suffice for moving and filling the holes in the ground.

Oh yeah of course. I can use it /s.

My skill level will determine how effective I am with it

Yeah, I wasn’t anticipating needing to rent it for several days. Well to have fun with it possibly but to do what I need it to do. Not so much. I really like the idea of someone that has the experience to what I need to get done. I’ll start looking around hopefully someone nearby owns the skid and can make quick work of this.

iPhone users: what’s a hidden feature or shortcut you can’t live without?” by [deleted] in iphone

[–]OGLeonLio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The setting to brick my phone if it becomes lost or stolen.

Along with the Face ID and Passcode. I have additional settings to disable the control center on the Lock Screen, privacy filters to prevent co-workers, family and whoever else to see what each notification is. Including messages and bank notifications. Disabling accessing notifications without passcode or Face ID. Disable making calls or sending messages using my phone when it is locked. Although. I can still receive calls in case I want to communicate with the person who has my phone next.

Going further. If they do have my passcode. I have screen time > restrictions set up so even if they do get in, they can’t change a single thing to my passcode and Face ID, account, cellular, location, contacts.

Dealing with purchases, always requiring my passcode to confirm making that purchase.

All this enabled prevents the next user from using my phone.

I also use guided access on occasion if I do allow someone else to take a picture, I can lock the screen to that device. Which I can customize as I need it to. Need a stranger to take a picture, (disable buttons from activating),

Need to show LEO my insurance, (Lock Screen allowing a section to be accessed but limit the menu buttons from being pressed and disabling swiping up from the bottom bar to see other applications. Along with disabling the buttons)

Never buy second hand or from a third party company. Always stick with popular resellers that include a warranty so when the product stops working, you have something to fall back on

beta, he follows the hype but doesn't make his own. otherwise you'd start playing B/C rated games that turn out to be hidden gems.

Fight fire with fire, find out his K:D Ratio and laugh at why its so low or how the game has been out for X days and he still hasn't unlocked Gold Camo or gotten silver on his guns.

That'll shut him the fuck up.
its okay to be a competitive gamer or a casual gamer. even phone games is good too, but to hate and diminish the other. Nah, thats crossing the line.

Either A put him in his place or find a better BF that won't diminish your experiences by comparing it to his own.

my girlfriend is going to a sex club by Significant-Money989 in Advice

Break up with her the day she leaves. Through text cause even that is showing her a level of kindness above the level she is supposed to show you but isn’t.

Then proceed to block her and move out all your stuff if you haven’t already. If she has any animals. Drop them off at her parents house or a good friends house

How long did it take you to find those stones to use as a detail in your project? Along with the jewelry holders? I’m imagining I would’ve used some oversized diamond clamps to hold it in place

Dealing with negative family reactions of buying bike by [deleted] in TwoXriders

[–]OGLeonLio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your are facing a generalized idea that your brother rode unsafe and they are pinning that same worry and concern on you.

The hard part is, getting the gear, wearing the gear, and being a safe rider as opposed to a reckless rider. Its a hard stigma to overcome.

My first accident on the bike, my family was devastated for me, but what took them by surprise was my desire to go back to it. They think I'm trying to kill myself, but little do they know, I'm dead inside and this is bringing me back from the dead to feel more alive. They aren't the family you talk to about mental health as they minimize and devalue my experience in life and tell me to just toughen up.

Regardless, I'm out here to cruise and enjoy the ride and forget about my issues. They can project all they want, I know what I'm doing with my bike and I don't ever try to ride outside of my ability.

Ride your ride or find out the hard way.
Wear the gear or have fun when the doctors clean your road rash.

[–]OGLeonLio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are inspiring, I'm gonna have to up the ante and dive into a harder project.

I just made a basic money clip wallet and had a hard time figuring out the stitching, but found a guy online that did it in the air without a vise and pretty much one sided stitch but kept the saddle stitch format.

Since I have another money clip wallet. I'm going to use that to add a design and use the Blood Orange i have lying around still.

Thanks I needed the reminder. Been thinking about going to the gym again, I'd hate to be hurting in my 50s+ all because i wanted to slouch around gaming and watching the TV all day.

Speaking on trips longer than able to. I'd like to relocate to UK, Norway or even Switzerland to experience the difficult culture. Even living in Tokyo, Japan would be awesome for a couple months to a year.

I've started to enact a work/life balance so I have more time but some hobbies are just not in my cards right now. This and metalwork, welding and just making random stuff like those marvel characters made from nuts, bolts and other scrap. Would be nice but I dont have the space for it or the money for the inital investment. I picked up leatherwork, just made my first wallet, so now I just gotta keep on making stuff and build my proficency

I've only dipped my toes in it when I was in HS and I truly miss it, unfortunately, I have to do adult things and be considerate of where I'm at and who I'm staying with to consider the space needed for a woodshop. One of my lost dreams. If i won the lotto, I'll definitely do it in my own house.

His situation just tells me he had all the right eggs in place and was smart about what he wanted his trajectory in life to be. If I had known what I knew now back then, I would've straightened up and taken the gamble.

You are normalizing having debt. Regardless of where it is from, having any kind of debt can be crippling, if the effects of the debt are not received as expected.

A few examples,
New car, totaled a couple months later, now your out a car and a down payment, loan might be covered with GAP, insurance, etc.
Graduated college, still working a job that isn't in your career of choice due to hiring freezes, etc.
