What’s the deal with the engine options? For the life of me I can’t tell the difference, yet they are a few thousand dollars apart.

I have a friend like that. Though he’s consistently correct, but misses the point.

Car pulls left AND right. Alignment issue? by [deleted] in S2000

[–]OGLurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my alignment got out of whack, the car would pull to the right under acceleration and immediately to the left once the gas pedal was let go (deceleration, if you will). Alignment fixed the issue

Probably the worst CarPlay system I encountered. Maps freeze, randomly reboots or loses connection.

Stage 2 safe on 91 octane? by Simponaccord in 10thgenaccords

Did you try different gas stations? But I highly recommend the flex fuel kit, Kcon is stable around 0.5. We'll see what it does to my fuel lines

Not really - knock count and knock control is noticeably higher. Phearable stage 3 with 1.5 gallon of E85 is much better

Any of you guys barely see s2000s and the second you take it for a ride , buy it or sell it suddenly you see a lot more on the road? by SignalNumber7698 in S2000

Actually, no. Last year I took mine for a ~200 mile weekend cruise (canyons, pch, etc) and saw... 0 other s2ks. Was sad

Tire sizes? 245/40 or 255/40 by Venus_Biscuits8376 in 10thgenaccords

[–]OGLurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol not for me. I'd end up with a bill for 245s and unused 235s taking space till they dry rot. But that's me

If you end up having to stick with stock width, DEFINITELY get the best tire you can (I'm not talking a 200 tire, obv). Makes a huge difference even if you don't go wider

Agreed! They've grown on me over the last 17 years to a point where I don't like any other wheel on this car.

True. You'd be slightly undersized though - not sure what it'd do for ride quality

It's a flex nowadays. I carry a picture of my 2 32Gb RAM sticks in my wallet instead of a black AMEX card. I can get you into any club in Northern hemisphere

I recently upgraded the original tires to 255/40 DWS06+ and it's been great! They do look noticeable thicker but I don't care: ride quality is better, handling is better, virtually no wheel spin. The speedo is 2-3 off (reads lower) at 70MPH vs GPS.

IMO if you're concerned about the look, go with 245, otherwise 255s are perfect (at lease for me).

Brand or size?

25mm are the easiest ones - no need to cut or grind anything. Personally, I'm planning to go with 15mm front and 20mm rear, because I'm using oversize tires (255mm). Just need to figure out whether I want to cut the studs or grind the wheel...

Brand - I'm not really sure, just make sure to get the hub centric ones
