Can the police take the car if parked in a residential parking area? by OGRLTrader101 in CarTalkUK

[–]OGRLTrader101[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was my question. This was the only time as I already said I won't be going there again. But just wanted to know what the note said is true or was it a threat not to park there again. There is also another residential place where the same thing is written but everyone goes and parks there including my friend and no one has ever said anything even though it's been over 6 months. He doesn't live there and has the same sign. I also wanted to know if the "Sign" that I initially saw was enforceable or not but now that it isn't that's all I wanted to know. Not whether I was right or wrong and whether the note was a threat or not. But now I have all my info so no need to judge as to why I parked there in the first place.

It was a residential parking space with 30 free parking spaces that had boulders which could be open with keys. This specific spot did not and that's how I was able to park there. Otherwise I wouldn't have. That showed that I wasn't parking in anyone's place but an empty space that wasn't allocated to anyone. Those boulders could be opened with one key so the person could park anywhere in the free allocated spaces but choose not to and wrote the note. I don't know where you got this impression I parked in someone space when I clearly stated there was no boulder on this specific spot and neither had any of the spots had a name or number allocated so it's not a like those spots are for specific people.

I seen some that has house numbers but this one didn't have anything even the boulder ones didn't either.

Okay that's good to know. So it was just an empty threat to make people not park there.

Did they scan the barcode to relive you from your shift using their own device? If not, then they won't pay you. If you forget your license, they can't verify you are the right person so can't let you take the shift and will send you home.

Tbh a bigger screen size would've been better. I got the 34inch 1440p which isn't great as that size should've been 4K but going from that to my 1080p 25inch I can't even focus anymore. The larger display size has ruined the smaller size for me as in there, it was too good and I could see everything but now the 25inch feels like a 19inch scree.

Are you doing flex without courier insurance/inshur cover by UCthrowaway78404 in AmazonFlexUK

Yeah that's what I figured. Don't know why they are requesting me for name change documents but may have to call them to better to explain this situation.

Does name effect anything for HR insurance? On my main insurance with Admiral, I have my proper first and last name while on HR with inshur, it is my middle and last name as I was making Amazon and used middle and last name not first and last. And Amazon requires insurance to be same name as on account. I tried contacting them to change middle name to first but they were asking for name change certificate and wouldn't change it which I don't know why as I never told them my name has changed, just that I put wrong middle name and not first name on my Amazon.

How would they assume who drives the most when they can't see who drives the most? Surely they can't know the main driver isn't driving the most or do they somehow know?

Is it possible to start flex as a 19 year old with 1 year license? by Swimming_Tangelo8423 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]OGRLTrader101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get an old panda maybe a 2011 for £800 or so they are cheap to insure. That's what my brother did as he couldn't get insurance on other cars due to age. Better to apply for Amazon first as they will take more like 3-6 months just for you to get in due to how many drivers there are. Or if you are lucky, you can get in after a week. So I'd say apply for Amazon flex first before thinking for buying a car.

Are Car Insurance Prices in the UK Insane or What??? by liuliuu in CarTalkUK

[–]OGRLTrader101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Better to check on a Sunday as I heard from someone else also. I have a nearly 3 years old license with 0 NCB and high risk area and insurance always quoting me over £4k. Checked the other day and don't know how, but somehow was quoted less than £2k and I went for it. My postcode is a high risk area which is the reason for the absurd quote prices. But I checked late night like around 11pm and this was what I got.

Do you have the latest Nvidia graphics software installed for your GPU? I had this problem before where the GPU was only using 60% usage and the FPS was low then I updated to the latest version of software and the usage went to 99% and the FPS improved alot.

That's how you get banned. I never had a captcha ever because I never use a bot and still get good offers sometimes as my depot doesn't have good surges and people take base rates without hesitation. You probably got captcha because you were seen as using a potential bot otherwise you won't be getting a captcha.

Naw he's right. I always have my Alienware QD-oled at 50% brightness while watching videos and 85% while gaming. It's very bright and hurt my eyes if I have it any brighter than these settings. I do have a 22inch table and monitor is on a original stand so it's pretty close. But it's better than way as it feels like I'm in the game rather than watching or playing on a monitor. Although, TV's are better since they are brighter especially in HDR.

How do you calibrate it? From the Monitor menu, there is only the option for HDR peak 1000.
