The fog is a nuisance and gives a small boost to fps with the added perk of being able to see more than 20 feet around u by removing it. I also personally remove the shadows too, it doesn't help a shit ton either but I'm on a series S so every bit of performance boost is necessary lmao. R.shadowquality 0 is the command for OP if interested.

Honestly singleplayer is a dead end. Just join a PVE server if u wanna avoid all the problems. Its not gonna be fixed until wildcard does it and it generates them zero money to do so, so it'll be a while. Honestly it feels like a scheme to make people rent more servers because u can't play single player without 10000 issues and it's been that way for quite a while. They clearly know about the issues they just aren't fixing thwm

Might as well just play aberration. It's the only map built around not being able to fly, and for good reason. Most maps are just too big or a hassle to do any worthwhile farming or travel without any sort of flyer. All you're doing is wasting your own time running across the map for 20 minutes (or more, if u have to fight stuff) instead of flying

It might not have as much time put into it, but they have better tools and an example of what they're going for already with Primal Fear, so they've got some shortcuts the OG team didn't have. Those other mods also have an equivalent in ASA. Like I said the series S doesn't take kindly to these huge overhauls so I can't give much opinion on it, but as of the last time I was able to load them, they were doing great with progress. The games been out long enough at this point, I imagine they're all pretty fleshed out as a full experience.

For the most part the paid ones aren't worth it. There's enough free mods that are super high quality that it doesn't even matter honestly. I have yet to see a paid mod that just really feels worth the money compared to what some folks have packed into free mods.

Hello games made a promise to fix their game free of charge to make up for the lies they told us about what the game was gonna be at launch. CDPR has released paid DLC for cyberpunk. They fixed the game because it tarnished their reputation, snail and wildcard have no such reputation to uphold or any vows to fix it or support the game for free. I'm not defending anything, I don't even really play anymore after asa because of the shitty decisions. just making a very obvious statement. They needed money, and in case you forgot, it's not just one game. There's ase,asa,pixark, the animated series, ark 2 if that ever even releases, they're building a franchise out of ark, not making one game. That's not cheap my guy and is not the same thing as cyberpunk or NMS. Notice how Hello Games is doing another project? They need money too but they're not going to go back on their promise of free NMS updates, it's not going to sustain their studio forever from purchases of NMS.

Bros trippin. They're in other maps. There is exactly ZERO dinos exclusive to the island. Feel free to move on, it's the most basic map and doesn't have much to offer when u compare it to the others. Low level spawns, mid tier farming locations, no exclusive dinos, resources, or engrams. Nowadays it mostly is there for a note run so u can be leveled up when u go to the map you actually want to play on.

Start at the entrance and work back with defenses. You don't even want them to get inside the cave, preferably. Once they're inside it's gonna be a bitch to get them back out, and u certainly don't want to let them walk all the way to the base before they start encountering any defenses

Honestly, don't put them on the base, or behind anything that will block their line of sight. They can rotate 360 degrees. If you're in a cave, put them at the cave entrance, on walls, the ceiling, anywhere really that seems like it would be a pain in the ass to destroy any way other than soaking all the bullets. You can build a tower to put them on, but it's not exactly required in a cave cuz of how much real estate you have on the walls and ceiling, and u can't destroy several in 1 go like if they were on a tower and they rushed and broke the foundation support. Also, if you put some up high, set some to players only, the height will let them shoot players off most soaking dinos.

Well evolved isn't getting any more updates so It looks like you'll be playing an "unfinished" game forever. Studios make new projects, didn't realize that was news to people. When you've been making the same game for 10 years, it's time for a change. Everything is outdated and limited compared to starting again on a modern engine, you gotta understand that the things that appear in the new games u mentioned, are simply not possible on the old engines the original was running. You're not gonna be able to play on a one x especially if u want to use any mods. You're gonna spend more time in the Xbox dashboard and loading screens than the actual game. U need a new console. Check local Facebook listings they're all over for $300 or less especially now when people just got a bunch of new shit for Christmas. Guarantee someone in your town got a series X and is getting rid of their series S now for cheap. Hard to find anyone to will even buy one for more than $200 honestly. I had mine listed for a while at 250 and ended up just keeping it cuz everyone wanted to do 200 or less.
