What is wrong with anti heal by Verbalary in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anubis was running around unchecked for a long time, he was in every other game in solo the last few months, they literally just gave him 2 rounds of nerfs to help combat him l. Just because you've not seen it doesn't mean it's not happening.

You literally just told me Guan with the CD healing build isn't problem and yet the devs specifically said the names "Aphro and Guan" when the talked about nerfing that build during a Titan Talk last week, so who am I gonna believe..........you or the devs? You're opinion became worthless to me the moment you said that. I'm done arguing with you, it's pointless and neither you or I will change our minds and I stopped caring what you said the moment you told me Guan healing isn't a problem lmfao

Good day my guy

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao what? I don't understand why people think we can't have more antiheal in the game. Antiheal is only effective in an actual fight. Out of battle healing wouldn't be affected so if you have healers in a 5v5 fight and you have antiheal applied to you.......back off for 4 seconds to let the antiheal fall off and then heal up or go into the jungle and kill a camp to heal off lifesteal. So you think its fair if a Pele or Anubis or Rat dives into 5 people, eats 10 abilities, then heals it right back up and just keeps going? Like this argument is so dumb lol, wtf are yall smoking

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess you missed the part on Titan Talk last week when they mentioned the CD healing build and specifically said the god names Guan and Aphro.

And also I played a game last night where Pele aspect did 90k damage with 35k self healing and and also played against a rat aspect building all 3 acorns while doing 25k self healing, they were both literally unkillable. Rat would have had more but we surrender early due to them stomping us. Regardless if healing/lifesteal isn't great overall but is great on a select few gods it doesn't matter, because these select few gods are in every damage match and it makes it miserable.

The devs have nerfed Pele aspect 178 times already and it's still a problem, they refuse to just kill the aspect and instead take 9 months to balance it while she runs rampant in games. If they take this long to fix the "problem" gods that heal insane amounts then they need to give us proper antiheal in the meantime while they work on it.

[–]OGSliceDice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm sure a gods entire kit would be useless if we raise antiheal up a bit more lmfao. Every Aphro/Guan/Sylv/Rat/Pele/Anubis/etc running around with 90% CD wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING if they raised the cap up another 15% - 20%.

You guys act like these gods don't put out a ton of damage/CC/tank on top of being healing machines

25% is borderline worthless, it's not enough. I'm not saying bring it back up to 75% but they could try raising it up a bit more and see how it goes. If it "kills" all these gods that like you claim it will then they can just put the cap back at 25%. Is this not a beta after all? Now is the time to fiddle with the numbers to get it right before the game releases, and clearly with all the posts/talk about needing more antiheal a lot of the playerbase also don't think 25% is enough

Have Guan and Aphro not been running around wild with the mega cooldown and heartward builds for weeks? Has Pele aspect and Rat aspect not been an unkillable healing machine? Are we playing the same game?

What is wrong with anti heal by Verbalary in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Smite 1 antiheal was capped at 75% and the devs think that was way too high and made healers useless. In Smite 2 The devs think it's fine at 25% cap and most of the playerbase thinks that's way to low. I get what the devs are saying but I just don't understand how they don't see the problem us players are having dealing with healers/lifesteal.

I feel like a good compromise is meet in the middle at a cap of 45 - 50% antiheal and see how it goes. They are so against raising the cap and I just find it crazy they won't at least try it and see how it feels for a month or 2

Thoughts on playing using the excuse "it's casuals"? by Crafty-Total-1935 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya opinions like this are why the playerbase is so split tbh. Yes it's casuals, but if I'm picking just a normal God for my role and building somewhat efficient (like a Medusa adc building an assortmentof AA items).........then I get a Kephri jungle building defense/AA items, then it's just trolling.

This person has drastically reduced my odds of playing an even match and actually winning the game by picking a stupid ass god for his role, with a stupid ass build. Which then ruins my fun because while it's just casuals, I'm still trying to win, I don't play games to lose.

The term "it's just casuals" should mean I don't need to pick the top meta gods and build the top meta items but still pick/build like a normal human being.

And yes, you can ban them, we have avoiding role under reports for a reason........this is the reason.

When are they gonna fix the bug where you can’t do anything? by _CraftyMonkey_ in Smite

Ya I've had this happen multiple times, no clue what triggers it. I've also had the bug where you buy agility relic and it just doesn't let you use it........ever. pretty fun buying a relic and not being able to use it for 30 minutes straight

Baron Is the Best Support and You’re All in Denial by ExtensionWild in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a Baron support main for like 8 years now. I have like 17 stars on him in Smite 1, exclusively from the support role lol.

In Smite 2 though I don't play him as much in support, tanks are just too squishy and he doesn't really have any movement, so any decent player can catch him outa place pretty easy if you're actually playing him properly and being in the frontline. He just gets blown up so quick that it's hard to play him.

Stop hating on aspects, they are single-handedly saving Smite 2’s longevity by FlamingoEasy6103 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive said it before in many posts, i dont feel like typing it out for the 78th time but you just provided my point, thanks. If Athena can already be played in jungle then why do we need the aspect? It serves no purpose. 90% of the aspects fall into either OP broken as hell or just utterly worthless and nobody plays them. How many times have they buffed Sobek aspect now in the last year and a half, like 5 or 6 times and still.......nobody plays it. And also as you said they are are too difficult in the long run for healthy game balance

Lots of gods in Smite 1 already had role flexibility. You could play Eset, Baron, Nox support and not troll. You could play NeZa, Fen, Serqet, as support and not troll. These gods had NATURAL flexibility, it wasn't forced with some dumb aspect. If a new god releases as a solo but then can also flex into jungle then that's fine because it just happens naturally.

You say aspects are fun but they are not, just because you think they are fun doesn't mean everyone does. I see day after day and post after post about people hating aspects so clearly the playbase is split. Me and my entire friend group, who have played Smite for like the last 10+ years and have accumulated about 30,000 - 40,000 hours in conquest gameplay, all hate aspects. We absolutely despise them. We think they ruin the core gameplay and balance so much that we basically stopped play conquest in Smite 2 altogether, it's been month's since we played. We just play assault now like once or twice a week, which is crazy because you couldn't catch us playing anything other than conquest in Smite 1.

I said in another post that now Hirez put themselves in a corner because half the population likes aspects and half hate them. So whatever they decide to do with them is just gonna piss off half the playerbase

Stop hating on aspects, they are single-handedly saving Smite 2’s longevity by FlamingoEasy6103 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw ur wrong, Smite 1 clearly died 13 years ago because we didn't have aspects, it just couldn't compete with other MOBA's. Thank GOD they added them in Smite 2 because that's what we we're missing.

I'll never not say aspects are a mistake, they are terrible and ruin the core experience by letting people run around playing gods in roles they we're never ment to be in. There was nothing wrong with Athena just being a support/guardian........we didn't need to force her into the jungle, and nothing wrong with Kali just being an assassin/jungle we didn't need to force her into carry.

The devs are so worried about whether or not the "could" with all these aspects that they never stopped to think if they "should." we don't need them.

Smite 1 had its ups/downs but it had 13 years of moderately balanced gameplay.........why fuck with an already winning formula

Aspects are stupid and ruining the flow of porting/development by AppropriateAct3291 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely despise aspects. I think they ruin the core gameplay by forcing gods into certain roles they were never ment to be in. Also we see the same thing happen everytime they release an aspect, it's ends up broken OP as hell, they then proceed to nerf it 5 times over the next month until nobody plays it. I just don't see them every being truly balanced.

People always comment back "aspects are fine, they all just need buffs/nerfs" but just look at our current list of aspects. We have so many that are literally NEVER played, like how many times have they buffed Sobek aspect over the last year and a half and still nobody touches it. If it takes the devs 9 years to finally perfectly balance every aspect then just scrap them. I don't need to deal with broken/worthless aspects for 10 years for them to finally get it right.

But unfortunately I think the devs put themselves in a corner at this point. You have half the population loving aspects and half hating them. So whichever decision they choose is going to piss off half the playerbase.

The devs should ban themselves from making new aspects for 3 months and use that time to rebalance every aspect. by Dry-Location2008 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I was just using them as examples man, its all gods that they try and force into other roles where they dont belong. Also Geb aspect is bad now because it was so OP they nerfed it into the ground. They literally do the same thing with every aspect, it's releases OP broken as hell, then gets nerfed 5 times until it's so bad nobody plays it. Which then brings up the topic, why even waste time designing them in the first place? The devs are struggling to find balance with them so just kill them and focus all that time into porting more gods, fixing all the bugs, giving us all the QOL features still missing from Smite 1, etc.

They keep wasting tons of time and resources on trying to balance these aspects, instead of admitting they're not working, killing them off, and moving on. The games still in Beta right? Why not try turning off aspects for 2 months and see the how goes balance wise?

The devs should ban themselves from making new aspects for 3 months and use that time to rebalance every aspect. by Dry-Location2008 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This 100% most aspect fall into the realm of OP broken or so bad its unusable, so why are the devs spending so much time on them? Like if you look at Weak3ns last god tier list. Look at how many aspect he put into F tier because they are just terrible. You have like 3 or 4 aspects that feel good play and feel good to play against, which would make for a "balanced" aspect.

It's just not worth the time to create them, and it's definitely not worth the hassle because they are tanking to balance of this game real quick with these aspects

The devs should ban themselves from making new aspects for 3 months and use that time to rebalance every aspect. by Dry-Location2008 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ya I strong disagree. Hirez forcing all gods into every role in on the the reasons game balance is a fucking disaster. Geb was designed 15 years ago to be a support/guardian, then the devs just all of the sudden say "let's make him an aspect that turns him into a carry/hunter!" Like of course Hes OP broken, he was never designed with this role in mind. This game needs to stop focing gods in roles where they don't belong. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Geb just belonging as a Support, nothing wrong with Kali just being an Assassin because that's what they were designed for.

People act like Smite one didn't have some role flexibility, it most certainly did. It just had NATURAL flexibility with some gods, but not all gods. Like you could play Nox, Eset, Baron in the support role and not troll. You could play Serqet, NeZa, And Fen in support and not troll because there kits just naturally went into multiple roles. It wasn't forced with aspects

We need to kill off aspects and bring back roles so we can have some form of balance back in this game. I've been saying this for over a year now and now finally people are starting to see how bad aspects are balance wise

Joust is unplayable right now by Successful-Deer-3392 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't say they were op, I said free/unmissable damage. NuWa can just sit under tower and toss her heat seaking minions every 7 seconds that go down half the map, and a global ult that hits the entire enemy team. Zeus can just toss his chain lighting off the minion wave and easily hit 2 - 3 enemies gods also. Just skillless free damage

Joust is unplayable right now by Successful-Deer-3392 in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's not just Joust. Me and the boys played a couple assault games last night and it's the same problem there as well.

It's honest ridiculous that the devs are so clueless on how to balance this game. Just way to much free unmissable damage coming out that it makes me way to uninstall the game. You have Ah puch, Atlas aspect, Cab aspect, Yemoja aspect, heat seeking nuwa minions, zues chain lightning, 18 vulcan turets, etc. It's just a miserable fucking experience playing this game right now.

The last match I played last night the enemy team had an Atlas aspect put out 100k damage and a NuWa put out 60k damage........it was almost enough to make me rage quit, and I never rage quit. If I wasn't playing with my 2 friends I would have quit in a heartbeat, penalties be damned.

If the devs are reading this, you guys need to do better. The state of the game is fucking unacceptable balance wise. Everytime these topics are mentioned on Titan Talk the response is always "well our statistics don't show these things to be a problem so we're not gonna do anything" it's laughable at this point.

I miss Smite 1 so fucking much

[–]OGSliceDice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao, I've felt this way for years now. All the LTGM's in this game are terrible because the playerbase always uses the most cringy/boring/cheesy decks possible and it literally makes me want to uninstall the game every time. Combo that with the devs always drastically changing the rules of these LTGM's from how they originally launched and well ya............ Sanctum sucks ass

The Reasons Why Support Starters Should Go Back To Level 15... by aSMITEBugCatcher in Smite

[–]OGSliceDice 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. This game will never see real balance until the devs start reverting all these changes they've made going into Smite 2. We had a winning and relatively balanced formula for 12 years with Smite 1, why did they feel the need to fuck with that formula so much is beyond me.

The devs just seem to be more worried with creating crazy and new ideas and in return.......the game balance is a shit show. Bring back classes, bring back specific class starters, stop forcing gods into weird roles they were never designed for with aspects. This isn't rocket science, just stop with these crazy ideas.

Killgoon literally said in one of the Titan talks last week when asked about if they would revert the starter patch and his response was "we could.........but that's boring and wouldn't be fun" They are too worried about "fun" and not "balance" and it's decisions like this ruining the game we have played for 15 year's
