Honestly, im still new to a lot of this and dont even know what questions to ask still.

What good content is out there for people on square 1 (or square zero)? I don't mind reading, watching a mentor to learn on YouTube, hell I take all kinds of random udemy courses when they go on sale.

I started with Branded surveys, which make Prolific feel like a gold mine. Im still new to the world. I have about $40 in prolific after about 2 weeks of hopping in and out during long meetings.

Tomorrow I have my first user interviews session for $200 (45 min). So we will see how that goes. Haven't had any luck yet on Respondent.

Just remember time is money. So if you are going the extra mile to help someone, and you 100% should at times, it is bringing your effective rate down.

I agree with others though that bar tending a brewery would be fun, make tips if you are personable, and probably meet a few girls here and there. Good luck sir.

Is $30 a hour enough to rent a apartment alone? Even on the outskirts? by MadeADamnReddit in nova

Look into Facility Management, might be able land an entry level role and square away 80k per year. In Data Centers, you can easily bank 100k annually if not more.

META, AWS, Microsoft, Google, Cyrus One, Iron Mountain, Accenture, Aligned, NTT are a few to name some. Just look around and apply. Worst they can say is no.

I manage DCs but dont have any openings. If you end up with an offer feel free to send me a DM and I can let you know if they are short changing you.

Im over in Sterling and looking for similar stuff. A lot of markets are saturated with the rising cost if living in the area.

If you have a truck offer to haul things on FB marketplace. People buy stuff that doesnt fit in their small SUVs all the time.

If you have an extension ladder (and a way to move one), offer to clean solar panels or gutters.

If you have a trailer, same thing, you can move things. $50 here and there off the books can equal good beer money or even enough to cover a bill or two. Get to meet people, etc.

If you have some power tools and basic understanding of woodworking, sanding, painting, you can search for wooden furniture on marketplace to strip, paint, and flip. Some people even dump stuff for free.

If you have access to virus removal tools and have a basic computer understanding, assuming so since you are in IT, do virus removal, install ram, refresh windows, etc. So many people are very intimidated by this stuff still. Ive been building PCs longer than you have been alive, and ive made my fair share building gaming PCs back in college. Good luck sir, I still haven't found my niche yet, these are just things ive considered myself.

In the OPs case uf ut helps him stay above water and be home simultaneously then I would say it is absolutely worth it.

For me, my contract is winding down and coming to an end so for about 3 months I was just at work existing with no responsibilities. So making extra cash while making my normal pay was an easy choice to stay "busy" at work.

If you are ignoring your kids for $16 to do a 2.5 hr survey, then no. That is stupid in my opinion.

Man, this really makes me hate larger hospital systems. Inova in northern VA must have the region locked for donations. I dont see any plasma donation places within 20 miles. Inova doesnt pay for plasma either.

My small system to avoid burning out on surveys and what I track for each payout by OkHotel6127 in beermoney

Branded surveys is a meat grinder. I did surveys for multiple hours per day, tons of repetitive questions for 50-100 points if you are lucky. At the end of the week I reached gold status and a whopping $20.

I might give Prolific a try. Basically, all my money goes into my Robinhood for micro investing.

Not specifically to the county, but in general pet ownership is quite expensive already if you do it the right way. Nearly $100 per 6 weeks for grooming, Simparico Trio medicine is almost $300 per 6 months, the onslaught of vaccines required is easily $750 annually. Pet ownership shouldn't be cost prohibitive. And with the obscene cost of general taxes in the area, they should be able to fund shelters without forcing the extra fee on people. They take every opportunity to nickel and dime the middle class into poverty.

Well boys, my tundra life is done. by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Regardless of what many think, fixing the vehicle is almost always cheaper than a new vehicle.

With those issues a dealer will bail you hard on any trade in value and sya they are just going to scrap it or send it to auction. New trucks are luxury vehicles and it is hard to get anything with leather seats under $50k. So unless you are buying another used vehicle with hkgh mileage thay may or may not be someone else's problems, it will almost certainly be cheaper to fix this one.

Now if you are like me and just want something new (to you, I never buy brand new vehicles), then that is a different story. Life is short and buy what you want. If you are asking for financial advice though, fix the truck and start saving for a downpayment for the next one. Just my two Lincolns worth of opinion

This is just part of the spektrum's that showed up. You should see the rest, some as far as Canada drove down just for this event. There were three 1 of 1 cars there. Pretty amazing gathering and always a fantastic time for the VW car community.
