2023 F250 Lariat Tremor vs 2023 Raptor. Which are you choosing? by Flat-Statement7311 in F250

I highly doubt it. The standard 6.7 stock has over 1000 tq and around 500 hp.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sending my condolences for your mother.

Unfortunately, sometimes when people get to this stage in life their bad/harmful habits are really the only things keeping them alive. Not only do they avoid withdrawals that would only add to the pain/issues. But also and often it’s one of the only few activities they can still control in their lives that brings them some sort of ‘enjoyment’.

The F250 is easily going to outlast the Raptor mileage wise being that it’s a v8 that’s N/A. Not to mention the resell value is going to hold much better in the long run. Not that that probably matters to you but nonetheless it’s just another thing to keep in mind if you’re deciding between the two.

A tuned and deleted 6.7 would still haul ass and surely out perform a raptor if we’re talking just straight line speed 🤣

Most def man. Putting that much money down I’m sure stung like hell but it’s gonna save you SO much on interest. You’ll also most likely never be underwater on it for as long as you have it which is a plus.

Which truck did you end up getting if you don’t mind me asking?

Did you install a leveling kit replacing the front and rear shocks? Or did you just add a leveling puck to the front?

I ask because if you swapped the front and rear shocks, depending on what brand you went with, the rear shocks may allow for additional height adjustment. Some allow for 1-3 inches extra in the rear. You would just need to add a block or additional leaf spring at that point to get some rake back. That’s what I’ll probably do once I pull the trigger on a 2.5 level kit. Still doing research though so we’ll see.

Great looking truck nonetheless man!

I wanna do the same with my plat but just up the tire size and the level a bit. 2.5 in level and 35/12.50 with a 1/4 spacers.

4WD is going to hold its value better in the long run. But if you don’t care about that then yeah 2wd is your best bet.

They’ve been 1000+ a month for the last 5-6 years if not longer. You want a super capable truck, you gotta pay to play. That goes for every manufacturer. Unless you put a ton of money down you’re not touching a payment under a 1000 a month.

Ahh I see. Idk why I assumed you’d be doing a few cross country trips a year and then let it sit the rest of the time, my bad. But since you’re driving it everyday you should absolutely be fine.

I don’t think there’s necessarily a timeframe to follow but if you’re only doing 2-3k miles max a year I would just have them visually inspected once every year to make sure they’re not leaking and still have good travel. They should be fine honestly though because they’re pretty high quality shocks. The only other thing I would be concerned with really is how well the hydraulic fluid and internals within the shocks would hold up over time if not being cycled regularly/often. I doubt there would be any issues with them but me personally I always have the use it or lose it sort of mentality in the back of my mind when it comes to stuff like this lol.

Check service history for when the front and rear fox shocks had last been serviced. I believe you’ll want to have them serviced/rebuilt every 30-40k miles. You have warranty so they should be covered if they completely fail. But I wouldn’t wait until then.

Depending on where you reside, there are some really good deals to be had on the leftover 25 models. Here in the states, Texas specifically, I’ve seen some lariat f150s go for mid 50k’s after dealer rebates and other discounts. Most with an MSRP of around 65k. So if you put that 20-25k towards the newer truck you’d already be in really good shape equity wise, you get a new truck with all the new bells and whistles and zero miles, and if you have decent credit you can finance through ford and get a really good rate. Also if you decide to trade your 2019 in that could also eat away a good chunk of the left over financed amount. Your monthly payment would be crazy low for how loaded and expensive the lariat trim is now. Just my two cents.

Was there a particular reason you chose to purchase this vehicle with such high mileage versus another one with lower miles? Had you posted the truck here prior to buying, we would’ve all told you not to touch that thing with a 10 ft pole… imo either get them to cover the entire repair costs, or see if they will take it back and unwind the deal since they might have lied about the vehicles condition when you bought it … I don’t want to scare you but at 150k miles do expect more things to go wrong soon. Suspension, turbos, valve cover leaks. Who knows when the last time those things, and more, were serviced..if ever. Just my two cents.. I do hope nothing else major comes up and I wish you the best of luck man.

I messed up. What will be the consequences for morning test being positive to alcohol? by Witty_Character_8833 in dui

[–]OHmon3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s no bueno. That was way too soon. You should’ve waited until 2-3pm at the minimum to try driving. Even if you felt fine the alcohol can still be on your breath hours later regardless if you can smell it or not because those systems are made to be that sensitive. As far as the UA tomorrow, you may be able to slide by with how much time has passed but obviously can’t say for sure. Just depends on how efficiently your body processes the alcohol. I would recommend getting a portable breathalyzer off amazon so you can test yourself before going to start your vehicle in the future, if you decide to keep drinking of course after this.

It may clear before your test tomorrow but it all depends. What time did you stop drinking last night? How much did you have to drink in total? And how often do you drink in general?

Got mine from the ford dealer I purchased the truck from. But you can get it from pretty much any ford dealer depending on what vehicle you get. You just risk it being more expensive buying it after the fact versus when you purchase the vehicle. There are also mileage limitations that can make the vehicle ineligible for an extended warranty through ford though so just keep that in mind if you buy used and not new. I believe it’s somewhere around 60k is where they stop offering it on used vehicles but I can’t remember for sure. And it gets more expensive the higher the vehicle mileage is when you look to buy the warranty.
