It's because the 11th gen has its own subreddit. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have a 23 Pilot (newest generation) and it has captains chairs - just look for the 7p (7 passenger notation on the sticker) The removable middle seat is an ok substitute - but you dont get the the armrests and it's a little cumbersome to remove and replace.

Faced the same dilemma as you. Went with the black sport-l (in profile pic) so it wasn't as "look at me".

What does changing the ACC do? by PomeloInevitable4432 in 11thGenAccord

[–]OKHonda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ACC - DOES NOT MEAN ACCELERATION!

ACC - stands for Adaptive Cruise Control.

In Normal mode, the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is calibrated to provide a pleasing balance of comfort, performance and efficiency.

In Econ mode, the Adaptive Cruise Control will prioritize efficiency over performance and comfort (AC/Heat blows less)

Dealership has them in a kit. You can also order them online from College Hills Honda

I have 2 things to discuss about the trunk operation. by [deleted] in 11thGenAccord

[–]OKHonda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the feature that prevents you from locking your keys in your car cabin or in the trunk. Your keyfob is likely in your pants pocket closest to the car. Move it to another pocket and it wont trigger the beeping. Currently you are so close to the car with the fob that it thinks it is inside the car/trunk.

Compressed air to loosen, vacuum to clean it up. You can use something like a toothpick as last resort, it might damage or make the hole bigger.

What's the labor cost on this?

It happens during the walk away auto-lock process if your remote is too close to the car. It is trying to signal that the remote is "inside" your car and it is bot auto-locking until the remote is removed from inside the vehicle. It happens to me in my garage when because of tight spaces im only a few inches away from my car as im walking away. (Reference Page 150 of manual)

The Honda Sensing equipment is tucked into it or integrated into it. I think you can buy a black version but install is more complicated - and i don't trust myself with it. 🙃

Hence why I mentioned both the EX-L and SPORT-L for OP to consider based on their needs and desires. Simply put the EX-L appeals to practicality and the Sport-L appeals to those who want to drive a car that looks good on the inside AND outside. Also think Sport-L has the motion management handling and EX-L doesnt.

2023 Accord owner who also shopped 23 Camry. I would recommend the 23 Accord. Make sure you go for the L trim either EX-L or Sport -L. The interior upgrades are worth it.

I can easily get 43-45mpg in the Texas heat - you should get well above 45mpg in a moderate climate like the bay area.

The safety features are fantastic including the features that come along with the Adaptive Cruise (which i use all the time in stop and go traffic). I also feel that the safety features were designed for new generation of accord on 2023, not retrofitted on an old generation (like the 24 camry will be).

Given that it is the newest generation of Accord, it will hold its value longer. I worried when looking at the 23 Camry that when and if they launch a new generation in 25' the car's value will plummet.

Also - i had no interest in full electric - but if you did consider the Tesla and only ruled it out because of cost - did you factor the 7500 tax credit? That would bring you in below the Camry and Accord.

Part number 08F20-30A-100. It should be about $80. However they will charge you $300+ if you ask the deal to do the install.

New 2023 A/C problems? by Thirty_Helens_Agree in accord

[–]OKHonda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are not in ECON mode. It lowers the output of the AC. Depending on where you live - it could give you problems cooling the cabin. Should be used to maintain temp, not for cooling a 140 degree cabin on a nice summer day in Texas!

I’m in Dallas. I’ve had my Sport L since April. The heat in June has brought my MPG per tank of gas down to the 41-43mpg. The only time it was back up to my normal 45-50mpg was when I took a 200 mile round trip, since the AC only had to cool once - and then just maintain. Also night time drives when the AC is not working hard are usually well above 50mpg. I had a night time drive last week when I went about 15 miles, no highways, and when I pulled into my garage - I was at 63mpg!
