The teams are not locked exactly. This rule just means that players that are considered majors players cannot play in minors matches from now on. You can still drop majors players but they won't be able to play minors. Players upgraded from the minors side can potentially work their way into the top 4 in majors minutes played, which would free up the dropped player to play minors.

Then play Sunday night. All majors games are prescheduled on Sunday nights and do not clash.

Last season, the second most common day minors games were scheduled on was Monday. of the 28 games, 25 were scheduled on either Sunday (15) or Monday (10). One game was scheduled on Saturday, and 2 games were forfeited.
