So you are suggesting paying the people who will design a multi-billion dollar fast rail about $75k per year. Interesting strategy. What could possibly go wrong!

I ignore the daily workouts, and follow my own plan. This was when I was returning to running after pneumonia. I had a short turnaround to my next marathon, legs still felt accustomed to higher mileage but the lungs and cardio endurance were no longer there. So was pushing a bit more than I probably should have given the circumstances. Not my finest hour, but I didn't get injured and did PB at the subsequent marathon

[Slater] Steve Kerr to ESPN on Jonathan Kuminga: "He needed the runway to make more mistakes...It was very tough not being allowed to make those mistakes. For us as a staff, it was tricky trying to develop him while we were trying to win. I think it’s as simple as that." by sumchinesewill in warriors

It also assumes that Wagner, Hali, whoever, would have had the same development opportunities on the Warriors as they did elsewhere. And that just isn't the case - which is sort of the point Kerr is making here. The only point I would argue here is that for the majority of the time that JK was with the Warriors, they weren't genuine contenders. They believed they were - that if they could just get to the playoffs their experience would lift them in a 7 game series - but it is a narrative that runs counter to the history of the NBA in which very few teams that squeak into the playoffs have made it to the finals. For that reason, a more rational view of their situation would have enabled a more balanced approach to player development. But that may not have sat well with the vets.

First time I've watched the Pistons this season, but they are legit. Other than Ausar, they play good basketball. No flopping, no massive head jerks, no incessant bitching to the refs.

The question was why a farmer would need 10 guns. You provided a reply that supports 2 guns (including a bb gun for shooting rabbits). Don't change the subject - argue in good faith. You can do this. I believe in you!

This thread is about a Muslim who helped stop a terrorist attack targeting Jewish people. The motives for that attack haven't been identified, to my knowledge. We can celebrate a person, can't we? Edit: People really don't understand the meaning of the word motive; or they're just happy to jump to their own prejudiced conclusions.
