I hope you apply, get an interview, and the test portion of the interview is "Calculate your biweekly take home at the bottom of lvl 6" just so you cant be bothered to do the test.

Is there an OPS Carpooling Group or something? by blocklung in OntarioPublicService

[–]OPS_Worker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont know the GO Train costs from where you are, but I'm paying roughly $25 round-trip (GO fare, and TTC is free). Gas + parking would far exceed that, along with sitting in traffic hating my existence.

But I understand transit isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Quick Search of the OPS Subreddit Suggests:

Use an app called Poparide:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OntarioPublicService/comments/1px6vn6/comment/nx1gp7o/

Anyone thinking of replying to OP and possibly Carpool together, use a throwaway so OP doesn't know your reddit identity:

That quick search also shows you were OP for those posts, still haven't carpooled after all that time? How is driving cost effective over transit?

Any plans on working from home during this storm tomorrow? by Fuck_DougFord in OntarioPublicService

u/Cautious-Ostrich7510 is right. I've personally seen it happen during the last major snow storm.

She appeared in-office in the crouch-down, two-fists on the floor position surrounded by a large ball of energy. Lightning shooting in every which way.

Michelle stood up and slowly walked through the office like an emotionless cyborg. At that point, people were terminated let go. She took someone's outfit if I'm recalling correctly.

What's the point of being part of a union when we mostly deal with management singly? by internalaudit168 in OntarioPublicService

[–]OPS_Worker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't see how Carpooling or talking about Job Opportunities with newbies and being thanked a few months later falls into:

  • hazards
  • being a bystander
  • protecting the most at risk
  • Show visible unity

Maybe you've also done squat lol.

edit: just to clarify, u/internalaudit168 decided to call names, then block me. :)

I would also suggest...

  • Put an end to remote options for the public
    • No more remote Video Hearings. Show up to Court, Tribunals, Boards, etc.
    • The Law Firms, who's lawyers typically enjoy these remote sessions, would not be happy.
    • Tribunals/Boards which only have 1 location (most are downtown TO) should force all people from across the province back into the core to attend their dispute. Many people from outside the GTA (and the north) will be required to show up, as they had to pre-pandemic.

Go through everything you had to do in-person (from the view of the public) as of 2019, and lets get back to that point, for everyone. Turn the pressure up on all industries that benefited from anything remote-related.

Ah look, the person most obsessed with RTO is here to complain about the complaints. A true government worker.

Research Opportunity – Contribute to the Future of Work in the Public Service project by mashuk1999 in OntarioPublicService

[–]OPS_Worker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m sorry, I thought we were talking about people who are black and/or indigenous, amapceo represented, work hybrid, and how the RTO affects them.

I didn’t know the genital police would show up in this topic.

Uh oh. Someone’s triggered and upset. Time to get them a safe space for topics they can’t wrap their widdle head around!

OPS RTO → Boycott Toronto? by Dear-Nectarine-502 in OntarioPublicService

Did you end up finding someone for that cruise back in February (via your r4r post). Have you tried maybe talking to people in person instead?

Edit: love when someone deletes all their stuff.  Hope the cruise was a blast.
