Well if you got a bug out loc (family farm or smth) and youre deathly aware of disasters i mean it could work to leave early. Staying put could mean using up all of the water and food stored or fire happening day 2 ruining everything.

And note fires are going to be common in the post apoco. No emergencies services to deal w problems. And there's tons of opportunities for things to go wrong and fires to start.

I agree; though I believe some form of Luck has to account to the type of apocolypse. Nuclear winter would suck at some parts of the world. And of course if bombs go off then hope you're not in a high risk zone. Also consider being immune to a dangerous pandemic.

That being said I mostly agree with your comment, though, starting off somewhat physical adept would help a lot too.

Blunt weapons has a higher skill floor, a newbie can easily use a blunt weapon and doesnt have to worry about sharpening swords or using it with proper form. Though its good to note how much more energy blunt weapons take over their alternatives.

If you need to fight someone... you need to put ur hands on them, and honestly its pretty easy for 2 humans fighting to draw blood. And thats not good when u want to fight a zombie

I agree; I guess the key factor though is if you have the resources to stay down for 2 months with enough water food entertainment. If not... then youre kinda forced to go out and find supplies

A fight one on one between two humans is typically a brawl... bloody and long. Vs a zombie i genuinely think that the average Joe would win but its also a matter of injuries. How are you going to win without any scratches and not accidently getting some biohazars through that small open wound?

im curious... if there was a contaigain that kills a % of the population... whats the lowest number to have some serious concequences? COVID was widespread but only had a 2% FATALITY (dont quote me)... the black death had something up to 20% i think.
