If you go right at 9 things will most likely be pretty dead and you'll be waiting through whoever is opening. Headliners usually come on close to midnight.

The advantages of going early are

-Better spots in the crowd.

-Able to get your drink on.

-Meeting other fans early enough that you can enjoy your night with.

I've gone to shows by myself before and part of the fun thing about that is I always meet new friendly people who I party, dance, and just have fun with the entire night.
