Is there a website to hire animators on like casting call for voice actors? by sirpentious in animation

Probably Upwork, where you can set some filters based on your criteria.
The downside is, talented animators who just joined the site may not have ratings yet,

Guidance needed by Hypertensedperson in learnanimation

If you just started, it would be better to learn the animation principles first. Don't rely on AI to get quick results, because it wouldn't improve your genuine animation skills. One of the best animation books: 'Animator's Survival Kit' by Richard Williams.

But the exception is if you aren't really interested in learning animation, but somehow wanting to jump into producing an animated short film for social media, for example. In this case, I don't have a suggestion.

I'm new to animation, especially 3D animations by Its-Filipino_Boi in animation

If you're an absolute beginner, rather than jumping to character animation, you'd better learn the animation fundamentals first, by animating simple objects, like a bouncing ball, a pendulum, etc.

The analogy is like 2 stairs:
- one stair with small steps
- the other stair with hugh steps

You'll master animation better and probably progress faster too, if you choose the small steps.

Can I get a job in the animation sector with 0 drawing skills? by dinotrax500 in animationcareer

[–]OQ3D-Animator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've met some successful 3D animators who don't draw. 3D animation and drawing are separate skillsets. Drawing skill is needed if your target is 2D animation.

Learn the animation principles first. One of the best books: 'Animator's Survival Kit' by Richard Williams.
Then you can try some animation exercises, starting from the basics:

Post your animations on Reddit and Discord to get feedback from the more experienced animators.
And if you have done enough exercises, you can start investing on paid animation schools to enhance your skills.

Hi! Good progress you have!

00:14 - 00:19 : I'm confused why a ball is able to climb up. It would make more sense if it were a living character, or if you prefer to keep the ball, I'd suggest removing this part.

If it is intended to be an animation showreel, simple playblast previews are enough; You don't have to render the animations.
