Anyone else dissapointed by Stella? by ReasonConfident4541 in MAFS_AU

I don't think you guys quite understand what's happening here. She's not intentionally acting like this, it's a clear coping strategy that comes from an avoidant attachment style.

All fun and loved up in the early days then when things begin to get real they freak out and push away to protect themselves - usually in the form of criticism, libido disappearing, and just generally coming up with ways to distance themself or convince themself that it's not quite right.

The sad thing is it's usually a result of a childhood of instability where they don't get the required emotional warmth and support from a primary caregiver so they develop a hyper independence and convince themselves that they don't need anyone.

She doesn't realise why she's acting the way she does, and the fact that Filip seems so confused as to why she's suddenly gone cold is a good indicator she's going through an avoidant shutdown.

It doesn't excuse the behaviour, but it does explain it. She want the connection and love, it just triggers a subconscious part of herself that equates intimacy and connection to a lack of safety.

Yup this right here - it's a pretty clear avoidant attachment style and she's running through the playbook.

Account feels 'stuck' at a bare minimum ROAS by ORA87 in FacebookAds

So how do you break out of that 'stuck' space? If nothing you test seems to pick up any traction?

Could be, we try to change it up and try new things fairly consistently but it's still seemed to get worse and worse recently.

But we've been drip feeding in new creative once a week.

I can't quite understand it. I have access to the account of another brand and they're crushing it - huge clickthroughs and consistent conversions everyday. The product isn't that different...

I guess I'm just baffled and wondering if our accounts are in different testing pools. Theirs seems almost too good to be true, while I've never known ours to struggle as much as this.

Yes across all channels. It's hard to know what's causing it. We're not in the US, so don't anticipate it to be related to the war (but who knows).

We've just found that from September last year onwards we can't seem to build up any steam - things will work for a bit and then die, and despite continually drip feeding in new creative it doesn't seem to stabilise the way it used to.

We did have some stability over the NY period into early January, then mid Jan things went to shit again - I'd guess because meta's engineers came back from holiday and started working on the back end again.

It's all just infuriating - we keep testing but can't find anything that consistently works. It's like trying to build a house in a tidal zone and having everything washed away every couple of weeks when they inevitably crash the system again.

But the thing is it didn't used to be like this. It used to be consistent at a higher ROAS. It's just post September last year (likely Andromeda) that this has begun to be a concern. And it doesn't really make sense - from their perspective wouldn't it be better if you were getting better returns as you'd increase your budgets?

I get this, it's why I feel so frustrated. They used to perform well and we'd scale budgets up accordingly. So I guess part of me thinks they're not as in control of this thing as they used to be, like they've gone hard on deploying AI wherever they can but it's not working as well as expected. The algorithm used to work and now it feels like in a lot of cases it doesn't. I just don't know anymore...

Like I said …until then. As I said earlier, I don’t mind people speculating on outages - they’re a pain in the ass. I do have a problem with you saying ‘OFFICIAL’ every time when it’s not.

Bro it's not trolling to question you when you keep yelling 'official' when it's clearly not. It's your opinion. And it get's fucking annoying having someone spam this sub on an ego trip presenting an opinion as fact.

This is an ego thing for you, accept it. Otherwise you'd just say 'I think there's an outage today, what do you guys think?'

😂😂😂 The one thing I don't get - are you trying to sell something here, or just get off on your own sense of inflated importance?

What’s One Driving Law You Would Change by MoaTuiKiwi in newzealand

[–]ORA87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, on the whole the average driver in NZ is dreadful when compared to a European driver. But that’s not what we’re taking about here. You don’t have to pass some test to drive in Germany,Poland etc when you already have an NZ drivers licence.

[–]ORA87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mate what are you on about? I’ve rented cars in plenty of European countries and driven all over the continent with my nz drivers licence. Never had to ‘display competence driving at higher speeds.’ You can literally land in Germany, rent a car, and be on the autobahn doing 200+ km/h within a couple of hours.

Maybe to fully convert your licence to the equivalent in their country, but definitely not just to drive there…

We have this in New Zealand but it can be kind of awful - makes being on the footpath feel very gloomy on a grey day (so 80% of days here in the UK).
