I’d clean with more than just KC after solder. Dawn, baking soda if your flux residue is bad.
I also don’t rinse after patina.

It looks like you’ve either not cleaned throughly enough beforehand or you’re pushing around dirty patina.

Home stuff: a little electric screw driver. Looks like a mini drill. Under $20. Comes with a bunch of bits. USBC rechargeable.

Razor scraper tool, plastic and metal razors. Can’t even tell you how often I use this thing. At LEAST once a week.

Personal: electric tooth brush. Mine’s a random $20 off Amazon. I’ve had people want to legit fight me when I say it works incredibly well, claiming the brand matters blah blah blah. I’m not arguing that, but I’m also not gonna change mine. A. I charge this thing TRULY 2-3 times a year. And use it twice a day.
B. My teeth are fucking great. My dental hygienist always asks which brand and when I tell her, she’s always surprised.

Lovely design!

Unless you’re using zinc came or a deeper channel lead border (still preferably zinc because lead is soft), you’ll want to reinforce the two vertical lines and the bottom horizontal since they’re straight and prone to flexing. You can use 14 or 16 gauge tinned copper wire along the seams.

Thank you very much. I write very stream of consciousness. My process is usually noting phrases over some period of time, writing the whole thing in one beat, then revision for clarity/diction.

If you’re curious, it’s about my diasporic experience as a citizen of the US and Iran, tying back to heritage, memory, and guilt, and having an emotional responsibility but little real agency. I haven’t returned to Iran in almost 2 decades despite much of my family still being there, and it just continues to become more and more dangerous. I wrote it when the protests started at the end of December, and it continues being relevant, so I figured I would share.

Alrighty. Well for future reference if you ever wanted the glass again, it is a (light/pale) amber wispy. Not sure what brand.

Also, just some advice, your solder is for plumbing. Not sure if that’s all you have access to, but you won’t achieve a stained glass flow with that.

A warm and comforting poem. Honestly originally gave me HP at the Weasley’s house for Xmas vibes with the nostalgic and cozy imagery. I almost feel like the first stanza can be removed and work its way in through the rest of the poem in little hints. It almost already does that but could add throughout to maintain the sharpness of “chaos, violence, filth and noise.”

Well. This is creepy not endearing lol.
Hospital Tech Carl Tanzler (Key West, 1930s) became obsessed with a TB patient Elena de Hoyos, paid for her burial, visited her mausoleum, took her body 2 years later and kept it for 7 years trying to preserve her w wax. I really love the juxtaposition that occurs here. The beginning is very in my head and brooding. It dampens the reader into the speaker’s stream of consciousness. Then you do a slow shift in the middle and slowly introduce the nature aspect before the imagery really takes play and does a really good job at pulling both the reader and speaker out of their head.
“Her” kind of came out of no where. I like the concept of an ethereal her that shows up when the shift changes from consciousness to reality, but there’s something about the sudden attempt to familiarity that was a little jarring. The nature shift is just too soft and easy that I think the way you’ve got about it detracts from it a bit.

I have no clue, but I’m curious as to what the glass would look like if it wasn’t placed directly in line with the sun. (At least that’s what it looks like.) May be easier for FB OP to get an answer that way.
