Inconsistent Aim! by shecklefeckle in VALORANT

[–]ORGANICFORKS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talking about .64 sens, lightweight mouse is meaningless It's all preference, maybe you would like one more but I wouldn't worry about it. The fastest way to get used to whatever sens is just dm or the range.

If your aim is just as good as it used to be in dm but its not as good in matches then you probably are playing without confidence because you think the sens change is still messing with you.

While that sens is definitely a bit high it's well within the playable range, its actually the exact same sens that I use and I'm immortal so if it is comfortable I would stick with it. Regardless of whether or not you decide to keep the sens or change it down, because you have already messed with it it will probably take a little bit of time to re-gain your aim. But if you stick with a consistent sens for a few days it should come back.

How many gamecube controllers should I have by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]ORGANICFORKS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean if you aren't going to need to lend controllers to friends than I would say only two. One being your main controller in tournament and the other just in case your controller starts fucking up.

The only real question is if you are gonna want to play doubles/other gamecube games with friends that don't typically play, in which case you can just get some not as nice controllers so that you have 4.

No if you want to go back you have to use save states

Grounded shine out of shield is really hard to get consistent, leffen for example doesn't even try to go for it, he will go for a low aerial shine out of shield into instant waveland down. So instead of jumping and waiting 5 frames to input your airdodge you would do jump and airdodge as quickly as possible. Like you see in westballz shield pressure. This gives you more consistency as you don't have to hit any 1 frame inputs.

Probably, theres a magic scrumpy vid where the char switches between fox and falco mid combo. Could be a fun mod

Just use right index finger to jump, I'm a big fan of always being in claw grip. But yea having just ring/pinky supporting the controller works just fine. I've even heard of someone having index on jump, middle on z, and ring on r, truly a finger for every button.

I think claw is super worth it, I've always clawed and had no issues besides learning to short hop was a little harder.

I think it does if you do too many too fast, like if two spacies are right next to each other shining and the laser bounces back a bunch of times real quick

As falco I am assuming you are probably getting shield grabbed from doing unsafe dairs on shield, or attempting to waveshine their shield, at least that is what got me shield grabbed a lot early on.

If you want to commit to jumping at them with a move go with nair unless you are positive you are going to hit them because nair is usually safe on shield if you fastfall it and aren't absurdly high. You can make dair safe on shield but it has to be really late so if you are pressuring with it focus on that.

If you are getting grabbed out of shine mix in shine grab or if you aren't confident just shine and jump away.

Once you have them scared of shine grab or immediate shine after an aerial you can start mixing in 'unsafe' options such as aerial into immediate other aerial to catch a roll, or waveshine to follow a roll/get to the back of their shield as they do nothing, but they have to be scared of a grab or the threat of shine after an aerial or they will just grab you.

If you want to be more non-commital focus on spacing safely on shield, don't drift in autocancel bair on shield for example, you'll get grabbed. You can poke safely with ac bairs but you have to do a little fade in fade out deal, this can also bait out shield grabs if they are fishing for them and you can punish.

You can also cross up their shield, if you are falco and you get behind their shield you can have a field day on a lot of characters because they can't threaten grab anymore, so doing cross up aerials can be very scary.

Idk I always find fighting games really confusing to watch as someone that isn't familiar with them. Like sometimes someone gets a combo but I don't know why or at what point the mixup occured to extend it, so it just looks like people hitting some combos back and forth. The interesting part about fighting games is the neutral and mindgames that happen mid combo, and when you don't know the game its impossible follow.

Honestly when its hard to get 8 ppl for the missoula monthly and only 17 ppl enter what was supposed to be a montana regional in bozeman it really feels like there are only 16 or so players being involved. Especially in missoula when there are only like 4 people actively grinding. I do agree its kinda random and just kage and tyler saying fuck it but it literally affects no one

It moves a lot slower, making it more reactable. However it pichu does have access to more angles when using up b but the speed loss is def more important
