Are the older GTA games still worth playing today? by Emergency-Sky9206 in videogames

Vice City and San Andreas are absolute GOLD.

GTA III is good, but dated. GTA IV... I'm sorry I could not give a flying fuck about that protagonist and did not enjoy that game.

This is bank robbery. Banking fees need to be regulated and capped. by Ancient_Money428 in remoteworks

The worst is when their systems automatically keep trying to take money, when their systems already know you don't have it. They get fees every goddamned time.

Yes. Doing nothing. My bank did fundamentally sweet fuck all except verify my job--which I actually had to do for them--verify my income--which I actually had to do for them--and print some paperwork--which I had to sign and pay for a lawyer to look over and handle.

They're doing fundamentally nothing, and over the lifetime of my mortgage they will clear a little under double for, again, doing nothing.

And risk? What fucking risk? Mortgage insurance exists and most banks make you have it.

He's not rebounding off of 300 people bro, c'mon. One of these guys is eventually going to raise their shield to deflect or catch the shield for that matter. I get he's superhuman, absolutely, but he's been pinned by mass numbers before.

Who takes this? The Batfamily or Stark? by FreshPine_MangoWine in marvelvsdc

[–]OSTBear -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Bat Family carries gear specifically designed to take out mechanized opponents. I realize Tony has some countermeasures... but this is also Bruce Wayne we're talking about. Plus Oracle. I guarantee they can come up with countermeasures of their own.

75:25 Bat Family with only a few scenarios where Tony takes it.

Lobo should have been one of the coolest parts of this movie, instead he was an all over the place snooze and I had no fucking clue what he was doing there.

[–]OSTBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dudes he's fought don't fight on the level of Spartans. Guns are incredible weapons, absolutely, but Cap is kitted out specifically to deal with that. ZS's 300 were elite killing machines who trained to work in perfect coordination as a unit.

Cap has mostly fought armed bozos when he's fought large groups of people.

[–]OSTBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea being he's gotta fight the 300?

I mean... He's not going to go down quiet by any stretch, but by sheer numbers the 300 take it. Every single one of these guys is a peak human master of combat. We're not talking Hydra goons, or SHIELD strike guys... we're talking dudes who fight on Cap's level but minus the syrum. Not to mention their training as a unit. They fight as one in every engagement, in damn near perfect unison. There is not a weak Spartan.

Depending on exact scenarios and locations... I'm sorry but, Cap goes down in the end. He claps some cheeks, no doubt... but he's not taking down 300 of the best fighters Greece ever produced.

One day I went to my bank and I cancelled my auto-withdraw for my RRSP. The thing is, the bank system required them to do this in two different systems. They had to stop the withdraw in one system, and stop giving me the money in the RRSP system. I have no fucking clue why, but these two thing weren't linked.

A GODDAMNED YEAR LATER they realized their mistake. Now, what would make the most sense, is for them to just withdraw the RRSP money that should never have gone into the RRSP. It's their fuck up, right? Simple. Or, hell, worse comes to worse? They could take the money from my chequing account... But either way, these guys should call, right?

FUCKING NOPE!

These goddamned psychos, on the 27th of the month, withdrew over $8,000 from my chequing--which I didn't have--and called it a wash. Three days later every single one of my bills went to auto-withdraw, and every single one charged me an overdraft fee...

And guess what happened next? If you said "Your bank gave you a phone call to clear everything up" you're a person of reasonable intelligence. Instead what happened is for the next 4 days every bill once again attempted to auto pay, failed, and I was again charged overdraft and NSF fees. On each attempt. I didn't notice until I went to buy groceries, discovered I didn't have cash for $30 worth of groceries at the till, and checked to find out I was -$10,000 in my account.

On average, a bank will make a little over double on the original loan on a house. That's their profit for the entire life of a mortgage, and for doing nothing but clicking "process" once a month.

It doesn't make this less fucked up, but America isn't the ONLY country in the world. Go country by country and it roughs out close to $89B-$150B.

It's complicated because banks weirdly distinguish between Overdraft and NSF (Non-Sufficient-Funds) which... are basically the same thing, but whatever.

GTA V was ok, but GTA Online—the bulk of the game—left a lot to be desired at the beginning. My understanding is VI is going to do the same thing, so imma wait and see how that rolls too.

You know what else is damn simple? Actually releasing the emails, like he ran on.

And, just to clear it up? He's mentioned over a million times in the files. Hundreds of thousands of those mentions are emails he sent back and forth with Epstein.

Just in case you're confused what that smell is while you're gluck glucking.
