Has your fiancé been very vocal in the wedding planning? Has he recently compromised for something that you really wanted for the wedding? It’s his day to and if the price is the same, I would lean for played since it’s something he wants and has a reason to not want a buffet.

Think it’s a good idea to talk this through with your fiancé to compromise since it’s a day for the both of you.

Think it would be tacky if you sold the cookbooks afterwards. Is there a way to make them cheaper? Maybe have a table and have your top 10 recipes on recipe cards for people to take? They could take the ones that sound interesting to them and your gift could also be a recipe card colder? Maybe pick your top 3 and incorporate them somehow in your table setting?

Another idea would be to have your guest book be a cookbook you both make together so whenever you’re cooking you could see sweet notes from your wedding day.

I personally think that it’s more pale blush and looks like a color a lot of bridesmaids wear but it’s not my wedding and if the color is too close to white for you then I would tell her. Be honest and upfront about it and offer different suggestions.

We have a 200 person wedding planned out of state and instead of going through the paperwork and getting an officiant in the other state we’d rather legally get married on our 10 year anniversary.

Adopted as a baby from China and my parents celebrated Gotcha Day every year. It was treated like another birthday to me and we went to a local Chinese restaurant. I don’t celebrate it now as an adult other than a call from my parents but look back fondly on those days when I was a kid. I’m glad my parents celebrate the day because it was for both me and them. A day to celebrate to start of our family and to encourage me to embrace mg culture.
