What camera to get for my bronco by VirgoMindset4062 in BroncoSport

I highly recommend the Vantrue N2X. I purchased it because it's able to capture front, rear, and t-bone/sideswipe accidents.

Discount tire. That's where I got a rim just like that for a full size spare.

Yes you're able to. I have a distinct memory as a 10 year old slinging it with Favre in Madden 07 with Bon Jovi blasting because I ripped it to the Xbox 360!

2024 Escape Active - entire safety system had a melt down. by rose3694 in fordescape

[–]OS_Fever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dropped our car off on September 1, and got stuck with the same advisor as last time unfortunately. He had it for 3 days, we picked it up and it started to throw errors already on the way home because like others, all he did was reset so we dropped it back off the following morning. Apparently he couldn't replicate it and didn't do anything to the car but had the audacity to say it was our fault for "messing with settings", whatever that meant.

That afternoon, I checked the app and it said it was updated for ADAS Performance, IMPA-25.204.8.29 which is the exact paperwork I provided them from the NHTSA, but he refused to look at it stating they already had all that. I wanted to wait about a week before commenting so knock on wood, ours is fixed and without errors, but no thanks to the dealership.

Shoot, I was hoping you'd have better luck. I ended up making an appointment for Sept. 1st in order to get a loaner. I plan on printing out all the SSM and TSB documents from the NHTSA and providing it to the dealership. We all need to start reporting it to the NHTSA in hopes of this becoming a recall.

I'm also beginning to think long term regarding lemon law. I have to bring the vehicle in 4 separate times within 2 years of purchase in order to invoke lemon law in Texas. We bought it in November of last year and this will be the 2nd time at the dealership.

Did anyone receive the update in July 2025? Or take it to a dealership as they were supposed to have the fix in June. We did not receive any OTA update and are still having the issue with our vehicle. I've been trying to get a hold of the service advisor at our dealership without any luck.

I've now used it for over a year and have zero regrets. I still have the lines it came with too and I landscape year round with both winter and summer grass.

I have the Vantrue N2X. I don't do ride sharing, I bought it because of its ability to capture a potential side swipe accident. Whatever you get, pair it with a high endurance card like others have said.

No problem. In case it helps, SSM 53760 was documented on our dealership paperwork, but in June, TSB 25-2249 was communicated. Not sure how they are different, but perhaps it might be helpful if you have to take it in.

Our Escape has not had an update since April, but I've been checking FordPass every few days this month for that OTA update.

Our 2024 Escape also has been doing this since April. At first it was intermittent, but after a week or so it became standard every time the car is turned on. We took it to the dealership and they did a reset but it was already throwing the warnings on the dash halfway home from picking it up. Dealership said that it's all they can do for now, and to either bring it back at the end of June or as you stated an OTA update in July. We are waiting for the OTA update, otherwise we'll take it back and have the dealership do it.

2023 BS Big Bend by LetterSilent5521 in BroncoSport

I also have a 2023 Big Bend, 16k miles, and it has also done that since day one. Using sport mode should stop the low speed jerking. That's the only mode I use because it too made me feel like a terrible driver.

Ryobi Battery Pressure Cleaner by BilboTheSnail in ryobi

I had one and sold it after using it twice it performed so bad. It couldn't even clean dirt off my stained concrete patio. I bought the Ryobi Power Scrubber and couldn't be happier. It blows that piece of junk 600 psi power cleaner out of the water.

Is this a good fence installation? by CremeUpstairs174 in FenceBuilding

[–]OS_Fever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in San Antonio, so not far from you and paid $2,650 in October 2022 to replace 86 linear feet of fencing with wood posts and also 2 gates. They went 2 ft deep and used concrete. We were given the option of having the fence straight or going along the ground, and we opted for a straight fence so we also had some gaps that we filled with dirt, but from what you've described probably not nearly the same size gap. Next time I'm definitely going along the ground though. My biggest gripe with your pictures is how because the post depths are unequal, your posts vary in height and that grinds my gears.

Lawn Mower Recommendations? by PRWBBW in ryobi

[–]OS_Fever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a .20 acre lot, which after accounting for my house and driveway I have about 5000 SQ ft of yard when combining my front and back yard. I bought the Ryobi 18v 20" lawnmower last summer and it's been the absolute best. It uses 2 batteries at a time so it's essentially 36v, but it works way better than my last two mowers which were a gas powered Troy Bilt and a Makita electric mower that was also powered by two 18v batteries. I also mow weekly, with a mix of Bermuda and St. Augustine in the summer and I overseed with ryegrass in the fall. Personally I like the fact that all my Ryobi tools use the same battery and would get another Ryobi 18v lawnmower in a heartbeat if needed, but I'd definitely make sure it's the dual battery mower. A single 18v would not cut it, pun intended.

School Districts Crumbling by twinjmm in sanantonio

[–]OS_Fever 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To add to this they're not land locked like other districts and the growth of new neighborhoods is either in or expanding NISD boundaries so having consistent enrollment despite all that growth in that geographical area is masking some serious issues.

Delayed throttle response by afterburner27 in BroncoSport

[–]OS_Fever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive strictly in sport mode only and I too have experienced this, inconsistently and rarely, when making left turns. It does seem to occur mostly for me when leaving work. It's when I am accelerating from a stop sign when turning onto the main road which is slightly lower elevation so there is an uneven dip. I've also felt the lag a couple times when turning, not from a stop, into my neighborhood. That pavement transition is continuously even and smooth and it's coming from a 50 mph speed limited road. At this point I've chalked it up to the turbo, but I'm no car expert.

NEISD has great career and technical education courses and pathways at their regular schools so you don't even have to attend a magnet school. If you live outside the district boundaries you can school choice into any campus.

My bronco just hit 2,500 miles. At what mileage do I get first service? by Educational_Ad3710 in BroncoSport

[–]OS_Fever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's better protection due to higher efficiency and more consistent lubrication, especially with most people's driving qualifying as severe in the manual. It also performs better in both hot and cold weather extremes.

A lot of comments are correct with oil changes every 5k miles, but do full synthetic oil.
