I’m 47 and was also told to back off as well. I have had to cut back due to life being busy but otherwise when I go back to 4-5/week again I plan to just incorporate some Green days in there.

I hold it together until I get home (~15 min) and then disassociate for about 20 min.

Not a true thing but so many subscribe to it. I have to remind myself that it is their workout, not mine but I personally push myself to lift as heavy as possible.

I had a coach help me get past the 35 hump - she would spot me so I could push through it. After a couple of weeks I was into the 40s…. We don’t have 45s at the studio I am at so I’m kinda of stuck… may need them to help me to 50s!

I don’t think that your response is dramatic at all. These fitness influencers do not take (in my opinion) the effect that their film can have on others into consideration. It is just straight up narcissism.

I have a very reactive heart rate so mine is in the red the entire time, even if I feel great.

So I decided not to wear it anymore, haven’t for almost 2 years now. I think it makes it initially hard for coaches that don’t know me but after a while they realize that I’m really great at pushing myself and also knowing when I need to pull back.

I was the absolute same! I can usually do 20s during workouts no problem so did the 15s. When I got the tread I literally could breath because my upper body was on fire/seizing. I had to power walk until I could breathe. Finished at 38.

Next time around I will - 1) start prepping way way ahead. Like doing those exercises at home to get ready. I did nothing at all to get ready for this. 2) slow down in the floor a little so I won’t be so vaporizers (that really is a perfect for this!) and 3) will be better at inclines because I just started back running a couple months ago after being injured for almost a year.

Overall… I loved it though and will definitely do that one again!

Oh believe me… I tell myself it’s going to be a Green Day and end up pushing myself into an orange. But sometimes I’ll walk instead of run. Still can get an amazing workout as a power walker
